No he's not. He actually thinks he's a bust.

I don't know, PopTart Cat made a couple of non-lulz/Nubinals posts earlier this week so I was giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Gotcha! MDS actually was making a pop culture reference, not a typo:

Easy to do with my pop culture knowledge.

I thought the pop culture reference was now "Morans"

Actually, that was a barb thrown at Brian and Jim, Virginia's Morans.

It's also possible (though not necessarily likely) that Bryce is just having bad luck out there.  If he's not striking out a lot at least it means he probably isn't being fooled badly, and it's only 25 PAs.

Well, they start a series in Richmond tonight.

I'm excited to see what he's like in person.

Harper was interesting. He's probably better off in A Ball as AA looked a bit tough for him.

His OF defense was rough (played LF) he misjudged a ball that went way over his head because he broke in instead of back and there was another play where a ball dropped in front of him he should have caught. There was a scary play where the ball was clearly foul and out of play but he ran full speed into the wall on a slide and banged his knee pretty good. But he looked ok and kept playing.

Hitting wise, well at least he didn't swing at the first pitch every AB.

I don't agree with him being better off at A vs AA. It seems like he's thrived on the challenge and he'll overcome his current struggles as his time at AA wears on. I think it might be safe to assume at this point that he'll finish the season at AA. I'm sure his OF D will improve as he has all the natural talent to be an excellent outfielder, it's just going to take time to adjust.

I'm glad you got to see a whole game of his though, I got to see him get HBP on the first pitch of his first AB at Hagerstown lol... sigh

He's got legitimate power though. Last at-bat of the night he was late on 96 mph heat low and away and he still drove it to the wall in left.

Harper was interesting. He's probably better off in A Ball as AA looked a bit tough for him.

It'll be interesting to see how he reacts to the challenge and disappointment.  Hopefully it fuels him to step his game up.

He went 1-3 first game now 2-3 in the second, he actually would've had an rbi but the CF'lder robbed him.

My guess is that he finishe s the season in Harrisburg and STARTS the 2012 season there as well. I look for him to be promoted to AAA by June due to the cold weather and his natural progression. A Sept call up next year is a certainity.

He'll be up long before September.

After half a season at AA, full Arizona Fall League, and another spring training, he'll start 2012 at AAA.

He'll be up in early June. He's struggling now, but he just made the biggest jump he's going to encounter in the minors. Once he gets on track here, it's going to be a relatively smooth ascent.

I think if he gets hot, they will call him up this September. I know Rizzo said otherwise, but I don't believe him.
