so sick. 13 HRs, 41 RBIs, and his BA is back up to a pedestrian .346 :lmao:
Yeah, I just don't know if the kid's gonna cut it...

Um...Twitter just blew up that he hit a two run walk off...
:-[
I was a little too fast posting this: Greenville had two outs in the top of the ninth, and suddenly they scored 2 runs.  I thought the game was over.

So Harper was 4-5, 1R, 1HR, 2 RBIs, 1 BB, avg. up to .346

I have got to get up to Hagerstown again before he's promoted (and catch Cole or Ray, too).   :koolaid:

Harper from the left side, Starling from the right side. That sounds good to me.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing Solis either.  I'm just more excited about Cole and Ray.  They seem to have more upside.  But given his experience, Solis could be with the Nats sooner, I'm sure. Anyway, it's exciting to know that if I randomly pick a night to go to Hagerstown, there's a 60% chance in the near future that I'll see a Suns starter that has a good chance to be a major leaguer some day. (The first  time I went this year, none of these guys were on their roster).

It continues to be comical that he's still at low-A, oh I hope the plan isn't to keep him down until June-12 to get another year.

I wonder if this is based on good information. From today's online chat:

Joey (SC): Do you expect Bryce Harper to be in the Majors at the start of next season? From what I've heard, he is dominating!

Jayson Stark (1:09 PM): That answer is no. The tentative plan is to get him to double-A in the next few weeks and have him finish up there this year, then move him from double-A to triple-A to the big leagues next year if he continues to rake.

That's fine if that's the plan now. Plans change.

Half a year at Harrisburg should enough. Either ship him to one of the latin winter leagues or let him play full time in the AFL.

Come spring training, he'll take a job.

I've said this before on here, but I think it actually makes the most sense. If the Nats want Harper to play CF or RF, he needs to learn those positions. And Eury Perez and Destin Hood, the CF and RF at Potomac, aren't ready for promotions. All three need to play everyday.

So Harper either was going to skip high-A or one of the three was going to have to play out of position in LF, which wouldn't help any of them.

They have worked both Perez and Hood in in left field already this year.

Hood projects better to LF because of his arm.

Playing Hood in left would not hinder his development one bit.

I haven't seen Hood play LF yet this year?  I thought he was playing primarily in RF?

He's played 1 game in LF this year. Perez has played 7. JP Ramirez, also a prospect (having a terrible season), is playing LF.

I would like to see Destin play more LF.  I know he's getting comfortable with the bat and glove, but if he projects to be a LF for us in the future (which it looks like), then let's get him over there.

Future's so bright you gotta wear shades!

I may go up Sunday.  I thought Rizzo said he was going to keep him in Hagerstown awhile longer.  Maybe in Nats Journal.
