That 12 inning game was from yesterday. He played in the game afterwards.

1/4 with a Triple and 2 RBIs

Michael Jong, Baseball Prospectus:

http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=14214

Quote
Was Bryce Harper and his taunt to the pitcher overblown? It sure does not seem like it, and you wonder why when things like Alex Rodriguez walking across pitching mounds sets off a firestorm of debate. Googling “Bryce Harper blows kiss” yields 88,100 results for this past week. In comparison, Googling “Manny Acta Joe Girardi argue” nets just 12,000 results, which seems reasonable for a story that happened two days ago.

Was Bryce Harper wrong to do such a thing? Probably, but who is here to argue about the moral code of grown men playing an enjoyable kid's game for a living? Perhaps the real shame in all of this is not what we may or may not have learned about the maturity of Bryce Harper or the leash that the Washington Nationals have for him or whether the scouts were correct in assessing his bad temperament, but rather that this incident could overshadow what is otherwise an amazing season by Harper. He is currently hitting .341/.433/.607 as an 18-year-old in the Sally League. This sort of play is something about which all of us should be raving, just like we did when Stephen Strasburg tore up Double-A on his way to a big-league call-up at the end of last year. Harper may himself get a call-up in September of this season, and we may get a glimpse of what winning baseball in Washington may one day look like, and I hope that this little incident does not prevent what should be an enjoyable event.

I thought this blog post made some sense.  Suggestion of an April 2013 promotion to the bigs for Harper if they're looking at service time/arbitration type issues.

If the guy is raking at AA this year and most of next year, I say bring him up late next year to help us overtake the Braves or whoever else we'll be fighting for the wild card spot.  Hopefully by then we'll have traded LaRoche so we could move Morse back to 1B and let Harper come in at LF.

Move him to Potomac at least.

This low-A crap is getting embarrassing, even if the Suns are kicking ass.

Kilgore just reported the same. Lots of speculation that he'll gert promoted after the sally league all-star game, but will skip Potomac due to stadium/field conditions.

If it's so bad we can't send our best prospect there, then why do we field a team there at all?

He did.  I think he played in a few games but he's in the Home Run Derby as well as the ASG!

did you see Zuck's interview with Rizzo today? They have a "plan" to fix the field after this season.  Sigh...

He already returned from that.

The Potomac thing is absurd.  Get a new f'ing venue/location already.

It's not like they can just rip it up and fix it during the season.  He also said if it wasn't safe, they wouldn't play there.  It may need some work, but I don't think it's treacherous.

I think a sucky venue could build character for Harper. Just, "We're not pampering you. Look, this is where you have to play and don't complain."

Send him to Harrisburg. Face tougher pitching. I'd still love to see him get a few weeks playing for the Nats in September
