Actually, they looked like crap against the Nats.  The Nats pen just looked even crappier.

true :?

the Fish should be on like a 6 game losing streak.

Quite true.

Ol' Danny Boy is now hitting .196 with a .631 OPS.  But, he's only K'd every 3.11 AB - same rate as last year.  I guess at some point it just can't get any worse.  In the last 7 games: 0 RBI and 17 LOB.  One of these days somebody in the FO or on the bench has got to realize that there has never been a more worthless guy at the plate.  He has no swing, no approach, and it now his 4th season and he's never recognized a pitch yet.  The Nat's Danny Boy (Cabrera) kicks a** in comparison.

Hey, he only walked 40% of the guys he faced today!  The guy has made 6 appearances, and already in one of them he allowed fewer than two guys reach.

Good to see somebody pick up the slack for Andrew Miller. It ought to look good when he goes to arbitration.

11-4 start.  My, what a crappy team.

They have not won a game against a team with a winning record.  Again, like last year, its the lingering rancid odor of the St. Claire factor:

AB   R   H  2B  3B  HR  RBI  BB   K  SB  CS    BA   OBP   SLG   OPS
vs St Claire    219  45  61  15   2  12   44  28  43   6   1  .279  .368  .530  .898   -   6 games
vs All Others   303  38  74  10   2   4   36  26  82   5   2  .244  .304  .330  .634   -   9 games

So, if you are impressed with the numbers the Fish put up against everyone else, well, fine for you.  I find it dismal.

I really hate Carlos Zambrano.  He has given up 4 runs in 7 innings and is pumping his fist like he is throwing a no-hitter and has the lead (cubs are down 4-1 to the reds).  What a loser.

Man, I love that stuff. Zambrano's a leader on that team. He's just trying to pump himself and his team up. Nothing wrong with that.

In every interview I've seen/heard/read, Zambrano's always given me the impression that he's all about Zambrano, not the team.

Zach Greinke is godly. wow, another complete game while allowing 0 earned runs and striking out 10.

he's pitching the best out of anyone in the game. him and Johan are the best so far

WTF? ESPN better fix this. That'd completely screw my fantasy team. Look at the pitch count.

Shawn Hill looked shaky in the first against the Pirates tonight. Gave up 3 hits, 1 walk, 1 HBP, and 2 runs.

Shawn Hill's luck ran out, just like we all knew it would.  He left last night's game with, get this, "soreness in his right elbow and bicep."  We know how this story is going to finish...

Looks like cutting him was actually a good decision.

Really nice article on Zack Greinke.

http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/articles/2009/04/26/greinke_is_zeroed_in_now/
i drafted him in my fantasy league pretty early and lots of people were giving me crap.  lol @ them.  buster olney said he can win the AL Cy Young.  i wouldn't go that far, but he's gonna be money.

yeah that was amazing.  you don't see that happen often.
