 I find this amusing and it is pretty stupid that im still going with it but I have honestly, NOTHING better to do right now while reading this assignment but someone said

"I looked up stockholm syndrome, and it redirected me to Nationals message boards."

How does that refer to us? We're some how Keiths hostages and all of a sudden fall in love with him?

You're talking about this line:

"Paying 20 million just for the opportunity to screw up another negotiation?"

I wouldn't call that "going off on me."  That's wussycat stuff.  I was basically right too.  I bet Law has no counter for that.

That's it, I'm through the looking glass now.  At this point I'm not sure enough about Keith Law to know if this was a typo or if he really does recall his future conversation with Bowden.
That's what, the 3rd glaring error he has made just today? :?

As for “hating” Bowden, I’ve had one conversation with him in my life, on Draft Day 2009.

Who are these groupies? And what is all this talk about them coming here to set us straight or whatever that was someone posted? Are they supposed to join here to talk crap and troll? This is laughable. Although I don't share the views of my fellow members and couldn't give a crap what anyone writes about the Nats (positive or negative I don't even read or place stock in the crap they write) it would be funny to have these "Law abiding ass kissers" come here to wage war on our board.    However, those who don't like to be called names should not be calling other people names even if they fit the description.

Keith, it was a sincere invite, and had you chosen to accept, I would have done my honest best to ensure a fair and civilized discussion.  I have no need of posturing or "tough guy" stances.  It's an internet message board, whoop-dee-doo.  I don't personally care much about the opinions of sportswriters, but I'm always open to the addition of another voice on my site.  Unless you're new to the internet, I'm sure you must be aware that any message board will have it's share of name-calling and other tomfoolery, but rest assured there is plenty of intelligent discussion there as well.

To be frank, someone in your position should be above this type of nonsense.  I find it hard to believe that you're honestly surprised to find the fans of a team you've written a negative piece about calling you names on the internet.  But I'm even more surprised to see you responding in the manner you have.

who the freak is tomfoolery

When someone posts LOL WUT in a topic with the pear picture, its in reference to a confused poster about asking what the hell the guy is saying. Whats better than a pear with a mouth in a greenland with giraffes?

Yea, i was looking for a crazy ape but I thought he looked cool

Stockholm Syndrome= Identfying with your captors. Who would be the person you are defending? Who is your captor? Possibly your GM? Maybe you can think about it for a quarter of a second.

Why would anyone think Keith Law would have a bias against their team? What does he stand to gain? He wants his scouting to look good, so his incentive is honesty. Your team is awful, is that not a reflection of your GM? Having the worst run differential and worst record in baseball? Having a bottom 3-6 farm system? Not signing your first round pick? Extending players like Dmitri Young and Ronnie Belliard? Honestly how can you be so defensive of such awful team. I really don't get it.

Ok, I'm not gonna mention anything else, but your ignorance about the Aaron Crow situation needs to be addressed. Crow never made any attempts to negotiate with the team and waited until literally the last hour to even try to strike a deal. He was demanding ridiculous money as soon as he was drafted and clearly never wanted to be a Nat. Just about everyone here will agree that the situation really can't be put on Bowden. Oh, and Ronnie Belliard has been a fantastic player for the Nats, and Young was playing great until diabetes affected his health so much that he couldn't play.

Move along, dude. We don't really want Keith Law's minions on here.

Hi. Welcome to Washington Nationals Fan Forum. Here, we are fans of the Washington Nationals. I know that offends everything you and the Keith Law Brigade stand for, but you'll just have to excuse us this grievous and horrendous mistake.

Our sincerest apologies.

We all know our team has shortcomings. We are easy pickings.  Almost to the point that a legit journalist might leave us alone.  Columns piling on about the Nats sucking are like the crappy unfunny super insecure wussy bully who picks on the handicap kid. The cool bullies at least pick on the non handicap kids.  Repeatedly Law goes out of his way to insult us. And really it should be easy. But he constantly screws up. Its like taking a non-blindfolded swing at a pinata and hitting the five year old behind you. Even the pinata says "WTF"

Congratulations dude, you came to the board to bicker. Im glad someone posted a Stockholm Syndrome and had someone clear it up for me. Sorry your/his metaphor doesn't really seem clear.

Defensive? Because I'm a fan? What else do you want me to do? crap on my favorite team? Wow that sounds like a real bandwagon fan. I will fill you in on the things your missing. I said Bowden has done some really crappy stuff for us. But defending is an aspect im using here because he got away with steals in the Dukes and Milledge trade as well as Willingham/Olsen one. What am I supposed to do? Say Bowden sucks!! This team sucks!! After a deal like that that can improve this team, No I wont.

That's what being a fan is, sorry for whatever team you like, but I can see you don't understand the term Fan. I enjoy Nationals baseball, glad its here in DC. If you really think you should abandon a team in such a low state, I can see you will probably fail in commitment and to be honest, I don't understand how your surviving through this economic disaster. Please think through next time about others instead of acting all high like your better than a team and their fans.

While that may seem clever it actually doesn't fit quite the way it's intended (assuming that's what's really meant) but whatever.

I am one who tends to agree that there is really no bias against the Nats in the media.

The team has been awful. No question about that. Our record reflects that. And while some may take issue with some of the things you enumerated (especially the part about the farm system) I can't and won't argue that you are totally incorrect. However, I don't give a crap about that. When all is said and done the only thing that counts is how they end up in the standings this year. Like I said, I don't care what people think about my team. You can bash them all you want that doesn't change an iota of what happens on the field. What I don't get is why you are so confused about people expressing their love and passion for the Nats in spite of the fact that they have been bad. It's our team and we love the team win or lose. How would you feel if someone talked badly about your girlfriend/wife?
