Mr. Law, I’m the owner and administrator of the message board in question, and I’ll be happy to host a moderated thread in which you discuss your article and/or thoughts on our organization with us. I don’t expect you’ll accept or even respond, but the invitation stands nonetheless. Date and time of your choosing.

I don't expect a response, but who knows...  stranger things HAVE happened, such as - oh, I don't know - everything documented in this thread.

How do you [know] it's him?

I don't, but everyone else seems convinced, so I'm just taking their word on it.  If he's willing to accept my invitation then I'm sure there are plenty of ways he could verify his identity.

Hope he comes, bashing and not backing it up, except for posting on his ESPN article which i guess he has an ego for, is a pansy thing to do on his part. Making us seem like Wild Apes!! (I just made the sterotype!)

“Chief:” I’m amused by your tough-guy stance, but really, given the behavior of some of your users who’ve tried to post here (and been deleted in moderation) or who posted on the ESPN Conversation (calling me, among other things, a moron, a clown, scum, garbage, and a piece of crap, as well as libelling me by claiming I was fired by the Blue Jays), I’m not interested.

He got the moron part right, I called him that

but he needs the cash he gets from an Amazon referral box?
Maybe it's there to help prop up the "bookworm" claim with all of his book reports.

OMG , we called him a clown. who is the vulgar jerk who did that?

This guy is a a freakin joke

Someone of his stature should be above such nonsense.

How was Chief being a tough guy?

I guess this explains his shoddy analysis

Maybe he is like Milton in Office Space.  Due to an error in accounting and IT he gets a paycheck and computer with internet access

I think I called him a fool, moron, and scum.

That response by him just further proves my point. What an idiot.

Does he expect us to like him if he calls us whiny? And really, he needs to do some research. I also hope he realizes that by definition, a P with 3 plus pitches qualifies as at least a #2. What an idiot.

Keith, it was a sincere invite, and had you chosen to accept, I would have done my honest best to ensure a fair and civilized discussion.  I have no need of posturing or "tough guy" stances.  It's an internet message board, whoop-dee-doo.  I don't personally care much about the opinions of sportswriters, but I'm always open to the addition of another voice on my site.  Unless you're new to the internet, I'm sure you must be aware that any message board will have it's share of name-calling and other tomfoolery, but rest assured there is plenty of intelligent discussion there as well.

To be frank, someone in your position should be above this type of nonsense.  I find it hard to believe that you're honestly surprised to find the fans of a team you've written a negative piece about calling you names on the internet.  But I'm even more surprised to see you responding in the manner you have.

Check his blog, one of the comments copied your thing about dunn and a draft pick if hes still a type A free agent, and the guy responded with his thoughts.
