Your History teacher didn't make up that term, and it really is spelled beaucoup.
Maybe his history teacher invented the French language.

I know where you can get all the Dapper Dan you need.

It will require a little soul searching, however.....

Well, there are all manner of lesser imps and demons, Tom, but the great Satan hisself is red and scaly with a bifurcated tail, and he carries a hay fork.

Well, ain't it a small world, spiritually speaking. Pete and Delmar just been baptized and saved. I guess I'm the only one that remains unaffiliated

there goes garland ... signs w/ d-backs for a deal to believed in $6-8 million.  Anyone on here think he's worth that money?

From '02 on, he's posted at least 10 wins and has had four winning seasons.  Career ERA of 4.47 ERA.

It makes sense, they need an infield defense for webb, so adding another sinkerball guy makes sense. Then again, if the defense isn't there, it magnifies the defeciancy. Either way, thats a lot of money for a guy with a 4.5 era- most AAAA (or replacement players if you perfer) guys can pitch almost to that.

For the same money they could have kept Randy Johnson. I'd go with Webb,Haren,Davis and the two kids (Petit & Scherzer).

Unless Doug Davis has had a relapse (Thyroid cancer).

Solid insight halfsmokes and blue911.  I'd probably take him over D-Cab, but I would want to give him a multi-year deal instead of a one season contract.  Oh well.

I thought the Cubs traded DeRosa for middle relief help.

They added 3 pitching prospects in that deal. One, Jeff Stevens, will have a chance to make a spot in their bullpen.

The Cubs also made a trade earlier in the offsesason for NatsAddict's favorite pitcher too (Gregg).
