oh i remember one day you come to sports pub to watch some games, you sat with matt and my self. and after the game bob to hang out with MYSELF and MATT.. you were there and I introduced you to bob. you appeared to be happy and you were giving tons of compliments to bob, (*cough kiss ass) he was very kind to you and he answered your questions. and you said i quote" oh i would love to be a play-by-play like you, i really like your work"
i dont know. im just not happy to know people are so two faced around here..
thats the last time i do something nice for person who thought was my forum friend.......
oh get it right.
I said I wanted to be a Radio Talkshow Guy, first off. not a "play-by-play just like you". if you are going to quote me, then get it right, ok?
and yes, i did enjoy meeting the man. I'd enjoy meeting anyone in the Nationals organization honestly as would most any fan.
yes, he was very polite, very down to earth. that i can respect.
and for the record, he sidestepped the only question I asked him. I asked him "What do you think of the state of Local Media coverage regarding the Nationals?"
Look, Carpenter is your best friend not mine. please don't try to make me out to be some sort of blind awe-struck, stuttering fanboy groupie just because you don't like the fact that not everything thinks he's the greatest announcer ever. the majority of the people i've read comments from either don't like him,or don't care. I am in the 'don't care" camp. i can live with, or live without. it likely won't affect my enjoyment of the game. he's not a bad announcer, but he isn't the end-all, be-all either.
and please don't try to say that just because I met the man once, it means i am obligated to jump to his defense whenever someone criticizes him. because I am not.
bottom line, I could live with him as the announcer, and i could live without him as the announcer. it doesn't really matter to me in his case. your opinion is yours, mine is mine.
