You might have accidentally hit the "ignore" button (it appears below a poster's name on the left side of their postings) when you meant to hit the icon for sending a personal message to him. I've accidentally done this once or twice but immediately realized and reversed it (if I recall correctly, a dialog box popped up or something like that). At any rate, if you go to your own profile, there is an "ignore user options" item under "modify profile" on the left. If you select ignore user options, it displays a box that should have the monikers of any users you are ignoring. I'm not ignoring any, but I assume that you could highlight the name of a user there and delete it, then select "change profile" so that you'd no longer be ignoring them.

I can't find the correct P.M., but isn't this the special code phrase that tells us to STOP putting paper bags of dog poop on Kasten's doorstep and setting them on fire?

Settle down, he meant it as a play-on on the phrase Carpenter and Paciorek seem so fond of.

Carpenter is weak.  Sorry to see him back.  Interesting that he is coming back with his tail between his legs; obviously, the offers weren't pouring in when he was a "free agent."

Did you know he used to be the Cardinals' announcer?

so you think you could do a better job? and where have you been... we know he has been an announcer for the cardinals.

he has won many honor and awards in his days of announcing/broadcasting

he wants to be in DC and he is not coming back with his tail between his legs. he is a professional and it shows.

ya know what it, it just kills me people who judge others for being pasionate and sincer about their jobs. the team loves bob and they wanted him back. people spoke up and this time the politics is mute!

I like Carpenter and glad he's back.  He seems happy when he's doing games, enjoys his work and it comes across in the broadcasts.  I'm glad the Nats didn't get a chance to fix what wasn't broken.

I really don't care either which way.  Carpenter never took or gave anything to the enjoyment or misery I have for the game going on the field.

they should've asked sportsfan if he could do play by play, that would have made for an entertaining broadcast

I rather have Carpenter than someone who thinks more of himself than what's going on the field.  I don't like Jack Buck or Chip Caray (all "look at me, don't I put on a good show" types).  IMO

oh i remember one day you come to sports pub to watch some games, you sat with matt and my self. and after the game bob to hang out with MYSELF and MATT.. you were there and I introduced you to bob. you appeared to be happy and you were giving tons of compliments to bob, (*cough kiss ass) he was very kind to you and he answered your questions. and you said i quote" oh i would love to be a play-by-play like you, i really like your work"

i dont know. im just not happy to know people are so two faced around here..

thats the last time i do something nice for person who thought was my forum friend.......
