Ottawa was up 1-0 and then gave up 2 in a row predictably.  The Caps need to keep the foot on the gas pedal and win this one before embarking on a 6-game road trip.  I'd say we need to get at least 8 points out of 12 possible.

Did you see Fedorov's shot? I don't know why they don't set him up more.

Yeah it was very impressive.  He hesitated at first and then saw that he had opening and he let it rip right past Auld.

Damn! Huet owns the Bruins. Hopefully he gets his 4th shutout against them today.

That call on Ovechkin was freaking ridiculous!

Let's get this done in OT, Caps!

Unfreaking believable.  Auld had the game of his life.  AO had a bad game.

Huet had a fantastic game as well. That was one great shootout goal by Semin.

Huet was amazing.  It'd be amazing if we could sign him to be the starter next season and sign Olie to be the back-up.

That'd work for me as well. Only sign Olie for one year, though, so we can get one of our youngsters to backup Huet the next season and get them ready to take over.

That goal by Kozlov was sweet.  He looked so confident, he didnt even celebrate after it went it.

C'mon ATL do us a solid tonight, beat PHI.  PHI will be missing RJ Umberger, 3rd line checking center I think, for two weeks and Derian Hatcher (top 4 d-man?) for four weeks.

PHI plays ATL tonight and NYI two more times. Other than those two easy-ish games, the have 2 each against NYR, NJ, PIT.  That's going to be rough for them I hope

Great 2-0 start!!! Semin had a great goal on the PP and then AO just made an unbelievable no-look pass to Backstrom for the goal.  :worship:

Teams and goalies who havent seen ovechkin before are at a huge disadvantage. Even though he hasnt scored yet. At the very least he has to rattle the other team

AO with the empty netter to win it 4-2!  8)

The Caps looked like bad in the last two periods but thank god they held on.  The Flyers beat the Trashers so we remain 2 pts out of 8th.  The Trashers play the Canes tomorrow so I'm sure they'll lose again.  Stupid freakers

The Huet trade was so HUGE!

Great win tonight. Too bad I missed it. I had to make sure I didn't look before I came on here. #60 is going to come for Ovechkin next game. I can feel it.

Who would get the tiebreaker if it came down to that, the Caps or the Flyers?

Caps currently have tie breakers over PHI and BOS. It comes down to number of wins (synonymous with less OT losses).  Unless the Caps go on an OT losing spree, we should be OK with tie breakers

I think we get to face a third string rookie goalie tonight. Hopefully AO will light him up.

Yeah, Kolzig (if he's starting) should have a lot of help tonight. I still don't trust him in goal, but he really has been playing well recently.
