From Tarik's article

I dont know how that went in. it looked like a mess from the start.  he lost control at about the circle. only to regain it and ungracefully get it to his backhand

It was all part of his ploy, a ruse to disarm the goaltender.

And Bradley didn't fall after/while taking his shot, which certainly was not universally the case...

Are you referring to semin losing his balance all over the place, although not on the shootout.  I think he was hungover or something

Another nice win!!!!!!!!

Backstrom was awesome. Kozlov had a good game. OV was OV. Semin is on Fiyah. BJ was solid. Glad Boudreau is finally giving BJ a chance to prove his worth. Hopefully he gets the start in Pittsburgh too.

Very nice win! I think Johnson should get the majority of the starts now. He at least stays back in the goal! That's definitely a position we need to upgrade.

That board sucks.  Nothing but a bunch of pricks who think they are comedians.

That's just not true. You bring a lot of the crap you get from people by your comments in game day threads and stuff.

I enjoy reading them and find there's much more valid comments/opinions than there are dumb/stupid ones. Even on a less active board like here, there's garbage floating around.

They're gonna do a Olie-2 games BJ - 1 game rotation for the rest of the year. BJ's problem is consistency and when you can keep both of them fresh, you really have a great tandem.

And the upgrade is coming. We have two blue-chip prospects (Varlamov and Neuvirth) and a mid-level prospect (Machesney in Hershey) playing awesome and waiting to get a shot.

Nicklas Backstrom = First player ever with back-to-back 4 assist games!

This has been an awesome game! 5-5 right now

I cant believe Ovechkin got stood up by Malkin.  I think he was off balance going in order to not hit his own man.  I missed most of the game, but really wanted to watch because, like Black Gallagher, Ovechkin wasnt going to go out like "no punk nag". Did he nail anybody after that?  I find myself watching Ovechkin more for his hits now.

Ovechkin didn't really need to get revenge because it was more his miss of a hit on Malkin than anything. I'm glad he just stuck to getting goals :D. He's definitely turned into a pretty fierce hitter, though.

Anyone else think BJ should be the starter? I thought Kolzig was horrible yet again despite the win.  Pittsburgh had under 20 shots yet had 5 goals.  At one point late in the 3rd period they had 13 shots on goal with 5 goals.  I know over on the Caps board it is sacrilegious to bash Olie but I think he deserves every bit of it.  The guy just can't get it done like he used to.  We are winning despite Olie but just think about how much more dominant we could be if we held opposing teams to 2-3 goals opposed to 4-5 goals.

Why not? Kolzig is gettin old and hasnt been as effective...Every other team is employing the 2 goalie system  why cant we let BJ take every other game or so? Until 1 guy locks it down. By the numbers Kolzig hasnt been doing the job
