I hope the next time he tries that, it's on TO, and I hope it works.

We still have a huge obstacle to overcome before we can even discuss that. Having said that, I think the Redskins match up well against the Seahawks in all categories. The problem being that it's a short week and they will have to travel all the way to the west coast to play in arguably the loudest stadium in the NFL against a team that has one of the best home field advantages in the entire league. Their 12th man is formidable. Fred Smoot said the Redskins 12th man is Sean Taylor so hopefully that inspiration will help to neutralize their home field advantage.

has anyone checked out the seahaks messageboards?>= They have been severely disrespectful towards sean taylor. This is a direct quote from a post on their board. I hope we beat them by 21 and see what the fans say after the game. HTTR.

"Sean Taylor was a punk ass little thug who's rotting in a box six feet underground as we speak. The only thing with more holes in it that his corpse is your defense. "

I try not to judge a fanbase off of a few idiots on a message board.  Lord knows I'd hate to have others judge the Skins' fanbase using extremeskins.

I agree with you that there are some idiots on extremeskins too but i thought that was very inapropriate.

24 Hours to game time.  I really have no feel for this game at all.  I know for sure that Seattle can't run the ball and their defense is average but then again you never know when the Redskins could revert to old bad habits.  Collins is so overdue to throw an interception/have a bad game.  I just hope we win so I don't have to hear about the "12th Man" and Seattle's Top Notch Home Field Advantage anymore.

I think we should play them like we played the Lions. We kept the passes short and had no worries about the running game. D-Line needs to step up and get pressure. Portis needs to have a great game as well. Trufant's not going to let Moss get open too often, so our other receivers need to step up. Should be a good game. Sucks I have to miss the second half :?.

Regardless of whether we win or not, I'm proud as hell of this team.

Hasselback is having an incredible year, especially since most of his receivers have been injured almost the whole year.  The Seahawks can't get rushing TDs' but the Skins don't give many up.  I expect the Seahawks to sack and intercept Todd Collins, particularly when he throws to Cooley.  The Redskins fumble the ball on rushes twice as often as the Seahawks, and have done so a LOT.  The Redskins have few rushes for over 20 yards, and the Seahawks have given up a lot of them.  If Portis is going to go ballistic with big breakaways, this is the game to do it.  The Seahawks are also vulnerable to LONG passes, and Collins has been more effective at it than Jason Campbell.  The Redskins punter is significantly worse that Seattle's, which hurts a punting duel.  Gibbs was smart to punt last week, instead of attempting more 50-yard field goals, that only give good field position to the other team.

Teams that have few injuries tend to go farther in the playoffs, so I expect this will catch up to the Redskins now.  Sean Alexander has not been the same since the Redskins knocked him out of the 1st quarter of their playoff game, the year Seattle went to the Super Bowl.  They can be beaten, especially if Hasselback is taken out this time.  The Redskins must be aggressive the whole game; screen passes and playing not-to-lose will not work out there.

Heh, I wasn't even referring to a majority or even a significant portion of people on that board.

There are just a handful of astoundingly obnoxious fans on that board who start threads that make me ashamed to root for the same team as those idiots.

I didn't create it; I just copied it from a public place, so go ahead and use it.  I wonder how many others have been created?

Portis will have 2 plays over 20 yards in this game.

You think?  I only saw a little of the show today so I'll be sure to watch the replay on MASN late tonight.  I did see Riggo at the Orange Bowl last night working for Fox.  Pretty Funny.

Yes. Every now and then, especially after nights when he's been out doing something like last night, John Riggins does the show drunk off his ass. Watch especially how irritating he becomes towards the end when he starts talking about the VA Tech kid that did something at the end of the game that pissed him off.

Dude, I usually can't either (I usually just drink :D), but I have this damn game to coach tomorrow and I'm still pissed. It's going to really suck when I need to leave near halftime. :?

Like TO said in that MNF clip a couple years back "I guess the team is just going to have to win this one without me" (the basketball team that is). I used to go out on night's before games and get hammered at the bar talking to my brother about the next day's game  I don't do that anymore.

TC did great this last month, regardless of today's outcome. Landry really gave us something to look forward to as well. JC and a healthier offense should make us pretty damn good next season.

Thanks for this thread. It's one of the main reasons I've been around here during baseball's offseason.

You left at just the right time Ronnynat.. Everything went to complete hell shortly thereafter you left.  I still can't believe we let that game slip right through our hands.  If we go up by 8 we win the game, it was that simple.
