The 'pen has been worked hard the last couple of games - we've got a day game tomorrow and 3 more in Arizona. Down 4-0, we can afford to think long-term when it comes to pitching.
I'm only keeping Shawn Hill of those four. The rest are being sent down if I'm the GM.
I don't think it was severe enough for that.
So you're saying let Redding go back out there for the 8th? Makes sense because it would give the bullpen an entire day off.
And who exactly is going to start for us next season? I don't think we are going to sign 4 stud starters.. It would be nice but I don't see it happening.
I don't see that at all. I see us signing 1 bat and maybe 1 pitcher.
I would keep Patterson (as much as I'm frustrated with his girlie ass) and Hill and sign 3 proven starters. And I don't think that's asking for the world. Lerner should be able to do that. I'm not saying 3 Santanas here, just 3 proven names that are dependable starters like Livan was.
Redding's pitch count is too high.. I'd let Traber pitch the last inning.
And then have Chico or one of the other youngsters move up and down from Columbus to Washington to fill in for JP all season long?
that would be extremely sad if that is indeed what occurs. This is the inaugural season for the new stadium. I certainly hope they will do more than sign just two players.
Nook/Felipe are the only guys on the team hitting worth a damn
I think the fact that it is the inaugural season is what scares me. Because of the novelty of the new park attendance is guaranteed to be high. The comment from Lerner that we're not that bad especially considering what we have on the shelf scares me to death as a precursor to say that we are fine with what we have if we stay healthy.
You forgot the guy with the bad hamstring there buddy
I think you are reading way to much into that...you've been wounded too much by previous owners I think.
He has been bad during these first 3 games.. I'm talking just during this series. Lopez and Logan have been tearing it up
