Traber pitching on a Major League team...  :bang:

edit: Bergmann was indeed safe at home.  I thought he was safe when the play first happened too

This is one reason why I'm not totally opposed to the DH.

Tolman or Acta should be fired before this game is over.

They were right, though. You are called out on those, regardless. Especially being a pitcher

This early exit is going to wear out our bullpen.

You're right because I don't expect Traber to be out there for very long.   :?

Actually, the radio guys were just talking about how he slid in under the tag and was tagged high - said the umps would almost never call a player safe since the catcher was waiting for him, but the radio guys thought he was safe too

Wow...talk about walking a tightrope. Getting Ryan Howard to GIDP on a 3-1 pitch.

Traber was listed as the starter for Saturday.  I assume Bergmann will go on the 15-day DL and be on it for the rest of the season.  We'll have to call up both Lannan and Hanrahan.  Is there any other team with so many injuries?

If any of you are watching MASN, Bob and Tom noticed his leg may have been in there, but the catcher was being nice by not completely blocking the plate which would increase his chances of injury.

No, said that the catcher was "waiting" for him by 20 feet - which was true - but the tag was high - they were "just" talking about it ...
