Damn. If Bergmann isn't that badly hurt maybe he can come back and pitch on Friday. He didn't throw many pitches tonight.

Or we don't call anyone up? Hope that's not the case. We need some more youth up here.

3 innings out of Traber in an emergency role is not bad at all. I'm a big detractor of Traber but I have to give him his due for the way he came in a performed tonight.

Traber is suppose to pitch Saturday - if Bergmann is ok - he'll probably pitch on Saturday in Billy's place ...  I would imagine

Yep.  No way should he have faced Rowand.  Bad managing by Acta there.

Really weird, too. He had to righties warming up for a while, too.

that'd be smart..over one play :stupid:

It wasn't "one play".  When you have a new starting rotation, you should be extra careful with you pitchers.  It's called good judgement.

And you NEVER have your starting pitcher sliding into homeplate!

The offense will have to wake up if we are going to win here.  5 hits against this pitcher doesn't cut it.

there is exactly Booker's problem... he can't stop from throwing wild pitches.  game is just about tied now

If Bergmann can come back he may be able to pitch on Friday and Traber can maybe pitch on Saturday.

mother ****er.. Another bad decision by Manny.  Why bring in Booker with men already on base??  He throws a ton of wild pitches.

Why would it matter? I would think they'd want to give Bergmann and extra day ...

oh well, this just means that the offense has to actually try to do something now.  No more coasting

And you NEVER have your starting pitcher sliding into homeplate!

Sure you do. You can't play timid and watching out for injuries all the time. You play to win and score runs. It was a bad call to send him, but it doesn't warrant a firing of any kind.
