Capitals 2024-2025
« Topic Start: September 18, 2024, 09:18:53 PM »

I think we all saw this coming:

ARLINGTON, Va. – Washington Capitals alternate captain T.J. Oshie completed his medical exam today, and his status is listed as injured. Oshie is expected to be placed on the long-term injury reserve list during the 2024-25 season.

Vrana picked up on a league-minimum 1-way deal following his PTO...

Excellent!  Low risk/high upside, and I'll always love him for being almost too drunk to stand on the bus at the Cup parade

We’re at the alumni game at medstar. Bondra has a goal and assist already.  Early in the second.

I don't wanna jinx them...but listening to the names, I'm pretty excited for this roster.

Nice to see Troy Brouwer back with the Alumni group...

Yea. The GM did a good job. I saw someone post a chart from the athletic that had one axis as how good the team was set for the future and the other for now. Caps were in their own little box where neither was good. Think that underestimated their chances now. A lot may be up to the goalie staying hot.

We’ve been through this before for the Caps. Isn’t this their 51st year?

Yeah...though there was the 1 year that nobody played.  But they all seem to celebrate after the milestone season anyway...

That’s a good point. So technically 50.

I think last year was the first season the Chychrun played anything close to a full season. Need him to stay healthy.
