Cycling time trials are in the rain. Lots of crashes of the favorites in the women's race. Aussie Grace Brown wins, Chloe Dygert for USA crashes but still wins the Bronze.

Ganna had a nice finish.

McNulty was the best of the mortals, so he has a 5th and a 6th in the tt and the road race. The other result that impressed me was Mattias Skjelmose. One of the top mortals and a heck of a good climber. Looks like a real stage race contender in the non-UAE/Visma division

The US matches up so well against France. Their guard are trash, and their bigs aren’t great on offense. I think the way to beat the US is what Germany did- just play super hyper and shoot a ton of 3s. If they drop you win. I think that’s a better likelihood than trying to do anything inside

Watched some Rugby sevens last night, which is rugby with seven players instead of the usual 15. It was a pretty exciting game and the shortness of it (the entire game takes 14 minutes) was perfect for my kid's attention span.

Watched a replay of the Andy Murray doubles match. He and Evans were down one set and then 9-4 in the third set tiebreak. First to 10 wins. They won the last seven points to win. Amazing. So retirement on hold.

Looks like the USA women will take gold in gymnastics.

USA men’s soccer (more like boys) leading 2-0 at half. So they should move on to the knockout rounds.
