Always liked Andrew McCutchen, he does a great impression of Cleveland from Family Guy.

He has 2 stolen bases today.

I think there's still some dumb aggression running bases but it hasn't cost us.
Everyone was real quiet about CJ almost getting picked off the other day.

Bullpen was supposed to be our strength this season. :(

"Strength" is a pretty relative term when it comes to this team.

Very much so. Do nothing or potentially worse than nothing in the off-season other a late addition of Rosario, and guess what might happen

It’s early

(in what may be a very long season)

28 runs given up now in 4 games, last year averaged a near league worst 5.2 runs.  Will be interesting to see if they end up doing worse, the pitching got shaky in ST, and looks miserable now.

It's more than that.  The failure to develop players has been glossed over by guys acquired in trades.  But not clear to me how James Wood alone can fix this.  Lerners and Rizzos want us to accept that half of all seasons will be throwaways, issue is if next year and '26 end up the same way, I don't have confidence in the people running this train wreck.

And this is before much of a spate of injuries may hit

The possibility of this going the way of the local NBA franchise seems greater with each passing day without much indication to the contrary

Yup.  11th 4th or 5th place finish in 20 seasons coming this year, and it doesn't phase owner or GM.  No pride.

Solid game from Victor. If he wanted to show out in a contract year and get the Nats something at deadline, I won’t complain.

And, in contrast, there is MAT with a bunt base-hit.

Let's not torture ourselves.

Only good thing about today is Rainey’s velo is improving.   If he can back to 98, he could be serviceable
