Don't worry, Rizzo says we're about to have 8-10 winning seasons.

I actually really like a lot of the Pirates pieces. Not unlike Nats in that you can see if ownership leaned in on pitching then maybe some interesting things could be happening.

With Skenes coming up soon, plus a power-hitter, Pirates could be pretty good.

If the Nats had signed Hoskins in this off-season, we might be pretty good as well.

Could win the Central.  Also unlike the Nats, their top prospects were all drafted and developed internally.

Yeah Adams should be our everyday catcher at this point, with Ruiz DH'ng.

I’m so glad to still own Riley Adams stock. Play him at 1B damnit.

Vic with the discipline. Maybe he really did change last year.

He's got to be running

Victor cannot be coached. He's the same dumb base-runner he was five years ago.

That was an unusual one because if he thought two outs he would have kept running.

He has 2 stolen bases today.

I think there's still some dumb aggression running bases but it hasn't cost us.

And, in contrast, there is MAT with a bunt base-hit.

Yes but as the announcers said he froze even as it was clear the ball would be caught.  Not like it was a diving catch.

He could have stopped half-way. Gotten back to 1B or made 2B if, as seemed unlikely, the ball dropped. Vic never learned the game of baseball.

It will catch up eventually.  A good throw had him picked off first.
