MLB can pretty much fill a stadium for a couple of games just with yanquis.

So, I assume MLB will be concerned that, this weekend, they clearly couldn't..... ;)

Phillies extend Christopher Sánchez, buying out his arbitration years plus two team options for what would be his first years of free agency:

Don't look now, but Castellanos is heating up. Nice June ISO and average. .254 / .293 / .507, for a .342 wOBA and a 121 wRC+. 11 XBH -7 doubles, 1 triple, 3 HRs - among 18 hits. Sort of started on 5/19, last game of the Nats visit to Philly, so it's a bit more than a month (.261 / .298 / .513, 6 HRs, 16 XBH among 30 hits).

Harper pulled a hammy good. Probably not back until August

He walked off the field without any limp last night. Seem precautionary. Maybe they hold him out until after the all star game. Not sure how you come up with August. It’s not as sever as Turner’s. Apparently hamstring injuries are contagious.

Did we watch the same game?

He is most definitely limping.

I read he went down the steps to the tunnel in the dugout fine.  Where did you get August from? No one I see is saying that.

Throws a complete game three hit shutout to show his appreciation.

Phillies are saying that neither injury is serious, so maybe Bryce is just being a drama queen

You were right.

Its amazing how quickly he heals in Philly. I wonder if its an actual desire or if the training staff is better.

I made sure the Phillies wouldn't win the World Series this year. I made a small bet yesterday they would. Small enough to root against it but also jinx the Phillies. Last year during the Dbacks/Phillies playoffs I bet the Phillies would win the World Series and they folded against the Dbacks.

Low seeds have done well since they went to 12 teams making the playoffs.  Could see the Cards getting in with 84 wins and the Phillies losing in the NLDS.

That would work. I wouldn't even mind the Mets knocking off the Phillies. If they get pitching they could be tough.

When I went to the Orioles/Marlins game last Thursday before the game one of the Marlins was in right field by himself waving to the fans and interacting with them. Turns out it was the starting center fielder Jazz Chisholm. During the game in made a great diving catch in right center and an unbelievable catch in left center diving on the warning track. Since then he has been traded to the Yankees. He's playing third base and is the first Yankee ever to hit 4 home runs in his first 3 games. the Yankees were down 4-1 to the Phils and Chisholm hit a solo home run to make it 4-2. The next time up he hit a three run home run to put the Yankees up 5-4. I'm watching the game and as I write this Trea Turner just hit a smash down third. Chisolm half dove, snagged it and threw Turner out. Who is this guy? His personality seems perfect for New York.

I have little idea who plays for Philadelphia anymore after deadline day.  I had to check to make sure I hadn't been traded there for a 30-grade prospect somewhere in that shuffle.

Getting traded to Philly or jumping off the Hoover Dam.

Pick one...

Great game tonight between Phils and Yankees. Yankees won it in extras. Harper is something like 1 for his last 22.
