Turns out Gray had full Tommy John surgery today so he’s probably not back until 2026. Oof.
Bullpen move by the Nationals: Jordan Weems placed on 15-day IL with right shin splints, Eduardo Salazar recalled from AAA a few days after he had been demoted.

oh, so the shin splints explain it all.
Ruiz heading to the IL, Millas coming up according to TheNatsReport. Hasn't been confirmed yet. Ruiz took a foul ball off the groin yesterday.
- Joey Gallo will begin a rehab assignment with Rochester tomorrow. The plan: five innings at 1B on Tues. DH full game on Wed. 5-7 innings in RF Thurs.- Cade Cavalli is throwing again.- Trevor Williams is throwing at 125 feet, could have a bullpen next week.
I'll be pretty pissed if/when Gallo has any more PAs this season for the Nats.
He's hitting .162 in AAA. He was supposed to be a deadline flip, not sure what the point would be of having him take up an MLB roster spot at this point.
Derek Law’s MRI was clean, revealed only ulnar nerve irritation. He’s not cleared to throw yet, but he did participate in fielding drills with the other pitchers today.
Call says he has been dealing plantar fasciitis and tore it, so he might end up feeling better. Talknats says he’s going on the 10 day IL. Nats Report says Millas is coming back.
If that's accurate, that's pretty good news compared to the other things it could have been. Still out for the year, but not next year too.
Trevor Williams and Derek Law will both throw to live hitters tomorrow, per Davey Martinez.Cade Cavalli and Mason Thompson are both still doing light rehabs in West Palm Beach.
