He's had a vocal chord injury since the 70's...

Saw Chicago and Earth, Wind, and Fire tonight at jiffy lube. Few originals left in either band but the show was fantastic.  Only disappointment was watching tons of people file out before the joint encore because they wanted to try and get out more quickly from the parking lot.

I can't blame them...that venue is an absolute nightmare.  It took me 5 hours to get my kid and her friend in there to see Cold Play from College Park back in 2009, and I doubt the traffic pattern has improved to any great degree in all this time.

Wow. We paid the $75 or so for vip parking and were out of there in about 20 minutes.  Entrance was a breeze as well. Even when I’ve parked in general parking it has usually been about an hour to get in or out.

I think Chicago has Lamm and the three wind instrument guys from the original? Not bad really. Buy let’s face it. They were never the same after Terry Kath died.  And then Cetera leaving was a nail in the coffin. I think he is still alive also.

Lamm was there when we saw Chicago last year. This year he’s making very sporadic appearances and hasn’t been at the last few shows, including last night. The current lead singer sounds just like cetera. I think the Lamm parts were dubbed in.  Only originals are two of the horn players.

EWF has three originals left including Phillip Bailey and Verdine White.

I think the last time I went out there, it was $35; Nats Park pricing comes to Bristow
