For hair metal fans, everywhere... ;)

Started watching the 80's hairband documentary on Netflix yesterday. It's ok, kind of a cliffnotes version of the era with barely any mention of Whitesnake in the first two episodes. The funniest part was when they discussed a band called "Tuff" that was essentially a clone of White Lion. Their video debuted on MTV 3 weeks before Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, so that was it for their career.  They also had reaction from Winger to how they were portrayed on Beavis and Butthead and how they had to cancel a tour as a result because people stopped coming.

Springsteen documentary dropped on Hulu yesterday. It covers prep for their first post-pandemic tour. Fantastic.

I think I have been paying for Hulu for 2.5 years as part of a Disney bundle. Maybe 3.5. Never set it up. May watch this then see if i can save by dropping it

I will have to check that out. I would like to see a documentary of his career. Similar to what CNN did for Chicago.

There was an hour long special on ABC/Hulu the previous Sunday night that was promoting this documentary, and it had tons of footage from his Nats Park show.

There's a biopic currently in production starring Jeremy Allen White from The Bear.

Guy Fawkes Night, like Bastille Day, it’s a holiday we all can enjoy.

for the longest time I thought Guy Fawkes was related to the Cars keyboard player.

The Frelinghuysen family still was in Congress I think in the last decade as an R rep in northern New Jersey (confirmed - Rodney Frelinghuysen). 4 NJ senators and 2 reps.

https://www.insidernj.com/the-frelinghuysen-family-is-nj-history/

Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr. was also a descendent.

Two losing VP candidates (Lodge and the one who ran with Clay).

Eric Clapton, Warren Haynes, and Derek Trucks - Why Does Love Got to be So Sad?

Haynes and Clapton split the first two solos, then clapton comes back singing. Trucks gets the next solo, which winds down the tempo. He starts playing without the slide, then around the 5 minute mark Clapton comes back in as Trucks slips on his slide, then they go through the finish. Meanwhile, Greg Allman doesn't sing but is on the organ. The double drums are pretty good too.
