Maybe. Makes no sense to me. I guess they figure a decent price so maybe you can trade him later? Maybe Ted just refuses to tank.

Kuzma and Poole cost about what they were paying Beal.

Hopefully trade bait and not a run at the 11th seed

Play in baby. And a chance for Ted to get two home playoff games!

Here's an upbeat article about the Wizards and some of their recent roster additions.  Although he said "the product on the court next year won't be pretty", the writer also noted that San Antonio's top talent scout and Coach Popovich "coveted Couibaly.  That's good enough for me."

Supposedly Utah was also interested. I guess Indiana threatened a trade with one of those teams and that’s why they made the trade to move up.

Monte Morris to the Pistons for a 2027 2nd round pick. Clears about $10 million in trade exception cap space.

Davis and Coulibaly both looked good today in the win. Davis was 9-17 overall including 3-4 on three balls. For 22 points. Bilal 5-10 including making the only three he took. Most impressively 4 blocks and 8-9 on free throws. Shows he has a decent stroke.  19 points.

One more consolation game I believe.

Gilbert Arenas' Big Three team, the Enemies, is in the final of that league.  Led by former Wizards legends Nick Young and Jordan Crawford.  Title game is next Saturday in London.  Do you think Gilbert laid a true in Nick's sneaker again?

Xavier Cooks is on the Australian team in the FINS World Cup which starts Thai week. They are the third rated team.

Bilal had a nice debut:

so like, when does the crowd start singing "Couli-Booli" to "wooly-booli" when he comes in?

Good deal.  Makes him tradeable also.  Tommy would have given him $80 million with a NTC.

So they have given up 110 points in just three quarters.  Can they reach 150?

Never too early for this and look who they have with the first pick.

Watching some of the second half on after stream. (Sorry Ted).

Couli-B already looks like a top NBA defender.  And a total black hole on offense.

Wizards hang on.  Enjoy. Might be their last time at .500 this season.

meh, we've had much worse. I can't figure out the boundary stone part, but it's nice they're reaching out to NoVa

Beal made his debut for Phoenix last night. 3-12 shooting. Maybe we can trade them Jordan Poole.

Did not see the game but looks like a breakout game for B Cool.  M

34 minutes
20 points
8-12 overall
4-7 on threes.
7 rebounds
3 assists
0 fouls.

They need to make sure he is getting 30 minutes every game. Unfortunately WUJ is probably trying to save his job and would rather play other guys.

WUJ is the perfect coach for a tank. And Jordan Poole is the perfect guard for same.

a 21-1 run by Toronto to win.

I have no idea why WUJ still has a job.

WUJ is a great coach if your tanking and your future core is years away from being on the team. Coulibaly is a lottery ticket that may work out, but he is the only guy who I'd worry about WUJ ruining. Everyone else will be gone by the time the team is respectable again

Yup. No reason to have a coach who will squeeze out a few more wins with this group.
