Hassell is on the Harrisburg roster, along with Crews and Pinckney. That's an OF to watch.

Just dropped a routine fly ball.  Luckily was able to throw second and get a force.

Only 31 ABs but .258/.361/.355. Got a triple last night. He's only 22 and there is a huge difference between scuffling in Harrisburg versus Wilmington or Fredericksburg. I just can't give up the dream just yet.

Even if he ends up someday as a backup OF, there is value in that. Four major leaguers for Soto would be a great return.

Good obp.  If he can be a .250/.340/.380 guy off the bench with good D and wheels, there’s a spot for him.

Imagine if we got Merrill instead of him though.  Wood, Abrams, gore, susana?

We also could have screwed up Merrill with Rizzo's busted development machine.  Mini Me would also never have allowed a direct AA promotion to MLB, with placement in the starting lineup to open the season...for a 21 year old, as the Padres did.  He'd be in Harrisburg here under the best circumstances, and probably 1 year+ from any hope of seeing MLB.

Played today, 2 for 4 with a walk and stolen base.

His K rate is running about .2 so far this year at Harrisburg, down from .33 last year at AA, so definitely some progress.

he's been quiet on the SBs so far this season even with his nice OBP. I don't know if they are holding him back to let the guys behind him hit but I think running may be a big part of his game going forward.
