Deni is a below average player who would have trouble cracking the rotation on a good team. He's another blown draft pick

One might begin to suspect that maybe perhaps there is the potential possibility that the management of this team may often be engaged in lackluster decision making. We might need another decade or so to be sure.

they are a carbon copy of the Nationals - horrible drafts, great trades.  Sheppard fleeced the Rockets for Russ, fleeced the Mavs for KP, fleeced the Lakers for Kuzma, and so far the Rui trade is working out well as Rui has done virtually nothing since arriving in LA (averaging 11.3 pts, 1 assist, and 3.7 defensive rebounds in 24 minutes per game, shooting 22% from the 3-point line and playing horrible defense)

The last few drafts on the other hand, especially 2022...  :spaz:

The rockets are going to end up with a decent pick out of that trade. They unloaded salary and picked up a first round pick.

it's lottery protected in 2023, the Wizards are borderline lottery for next year. If the Wizards keep the pick this year, then the Rockets would get next year's pick if that's in the top 12.

Ted is pushing hard to give up that pick

Two straight games of blowing 20 point leads. Nice.

Gave up 44 points to Cam Thomas. What a joke. They really need a defensive oriented coach.

I really don’t understand why wuj is still coaching. Unacceptable to blow two 20-point leads and lose to a team missing its 3 best players.

Because top 2/3rd of the league is technically in the playoffs and that’s Ted’s goal

Back to 6th place. Cmon.  Trade Kuzma and lose as much as possible.

No real way to catch Rockets, Spurs, Hornets or Pistons. Besides, Ted is all in on having a playoff team because that's a successful season. Granted, they'll do it with a losing record and being in the bottom half of the conference, but it's still winning to Ted.

Wiz looked like Milwaukee in that first quarter. 75% shooting and solid defense

Tied for 9th again (percentage point behind Toronto) and a game ahead of Chicago.  What a race! One more game before the all star break.
