Outside of Kuzma that was a g-league starting lineup.

If only they could be demoted. Sheppard could totally build a dominant g league roster

He’s hiding the generational talent Johnny Davis in the G League to fool the other teams. Playing 3D chess.

Are we sure that he knows service time isn’t a thing in the NBA?

Who knows.  I do wonder how much of the decision to max Beal was his and how much was Ted?  Think it was mostly the latter.

I think it was the later too. I think Ted wants to sell ticks and thinks the race for the last play in seed is a way to do it. Best case for this team is that Beal gets hot, KP is healthy and the win the playin and their first round playoff opponent has their star sidelined by injury. Even that just gets them a second round exit

So depressing.

Article on ESPN also that Ted will not tank with the Caps either as long as Ovi is chasing the record.  I am sure he will be pushing the other NHL owners for a play-in there also.

With Ovi, it's at least understandable. This franchise will probably never see another player as important to hockey as Ovie and I think you can argue that they owe it to him to keep trying. I don't think the wizards owe anything to Beal

I think Ted wants to sell ticks

Meanwhile, the Orioles ownership is arguably acting the role of a tick to the Nationals

Somehow this team is hot. Beat Phoenix tonight without Beal.

Without Beal seems to be important!
Rui actually looked like a motivated NBA player.  They need that from him if they hope to make the play-in.

Rui tonight, Deni last night. Maybe there’s hope?

No Giannis tonight. No Middleton. No Holiday. Should get the Curly W.

I did not. Have had the reverse Midas touch lately with bets.

They are now tied for the last play-in spot.

Sheppard is in a tough spot. Kuzma and Porzingis can both opt out next year, so does he trade them for something or go for it this year and risk losing both for nothing?

probably depends on what kinds of offers he gets. This isn't a team that's capable of winning the East, so probably makes more sense to trade the pieces.

Kuzma is ok but not worth what he will get. Need to trade him and seems he wants out. You can extend Rui much cheaper and combine him and Deni to replace Kuzma.  Not sure what KP plans to do. If he leaves fine. Frees up lots of $. He generally seems happy in DC.

I notice lately they are starting both Gafford and KP which helps with the defense at the start of games.  Demon Wright was missed when he was out. First guard they have had in a long time that can stay in front of opposing guards.

Here is KP contract info. He can opt out but is due to make $36 million next year. No one is going to pay that so he will opt in. Kuzma is only making $13 million. So he will make more than that in free agency.

No one expects KP to opt in. He and Kuzma are both opting out and are both getting pad somewhere
