Tommy also. We are doomed. Ted is cheap.

Jay Huff might be a keeper as backup center.

With the emergence of Johnny Davis the team could be interesting to watch, but Beal would have to let Davis run the offense.

Does anyone actually think this is real? He may not be as bad as we thought, but an offense centered around Beal and Davis puts us in the running for a great pick in what is supposed to be a mediocre draft.

he's shown a lot in the last couple of weeks. He still needs to learn to play defense and bulk up a bit.

I'm just hoping for a top 3 or 4 pick this year. I'd really like to see us get Miller

tankathon says we're locked into our slot.

Miller looked terrible in the tournament after appearing to be the next Kevin Durant in the regular season but he's still probably a top 4 or 5 pick. Most of the mocks that i've seen have him going 3 or 4.

Ideally we'd move up to #1 and pick Wembanyama, but there's probably a better chance of the Nats winning the NL East and Corbin the Cy Young this year. :)

Amen Thompson is getting a lot of praise lately, we'd have to move up a couple of slots to have a chance at him.  He would fit the needs of the team pretty well. A couple of the mock drafts have us taking Anthony Black who is a similar player.

I think you misinterpreted TANKATHON. We are in the same lottery as others. The lock was because it was a top ten protected pick. If we finished outside the top (or better said bottom) ten then the pick would have gone to the Knicks.

I don't want Wembanyama. I don't think the history of athletic 7'4 players bodes well for his career. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I think Porzingis level health is about the best you can hope for. That said, you have to take him at number 1. I think we have a really good shot of picking top 4, and I'd be happy to have Hendricks, Thompson or Miller. Henderson sitting out so much of this year gives me pause, but I'd still be happy to have him

The team seems to have a bunch of decent bench guys on a good team. Kispert as a shooter. Davis as a 3 and D.  Goodwin as an energy guy.

The odds are not good for Wembayana but probably the only thing that would really turn the team around. I forget what the odds were when they got Wall?

2010. We finished 5th worst and got the #1 pick with about a 10% chance at it.

Looking back, that is an ugly draft. Paul George ended up being the best of the class, but lots of busts

Magic host the Cavs tonight. Magic are a young hungry team and Cavs are pretty much locked into the 4th spot. So some hope there. Trailblazers visit the Spurs.  They should win that but will see if Lillard and some others play. Wizards next play the Heat at home tomorrow.  Fan appreciation night.  Maybe Ted could announce he is selling the team?

Orlando seems like one of those teams that will be very good next year.

They have some young talent.  Not sure if they plan to spend to augment with free agents. From listening to the radio here they have cap room.  And should get someone good in this year’s draft.

They're going to have a logjam, too many guys and not enough shots to go around. I'd expect them to trade away assets to construct a winning team soon. Banchero looks like the real deal, and Wagner could be a great second option. Suggs missing really hurts

Jonathan Isaac was their other big miss. Has basically been injured his whole career. Fultz can’t shoot so he is perfect for a bunch of other young shooters. They’re a couple years away probably.

Their stars are 20 and 21, I think 25+ is NBA prime. I think agree that it will be a few years, but I'd expect them to pivot from acquiring assets to build a team soon

Magic are going to lose. Sigh. Trailblazers leading in a close one first half.

This is like watching a scrimmage. Nobody is trying.
