Hogan already did that. Snyder apparently wasn't impressed.

I wonder, does Snyder have the money to build a stadium anymore? He's a terrible businessman. Who knows what's left.

they will pitch it as infrastructure spending and not spending on the stadium.  They will likely try to use federal money, too.

Hogan didn't offer up a parcel of land like he's buying in VA.  The development opportunity is the attraction of the Woodbridge spot.  I honestly think he's trying to emulate the set up at Patriot Place but on a larger scale.  Of course, Kraft already owned the land so this has high land acquisition costs.  Also, Patriots Place had a long run before people stopped going to mall retailers.

Wasn't Hogan's plan to redevelop at the existing location? Well, that was his second plan. His first plan was for near that terrible National Harbor or whatever it's called.

While they are waiting for the new stadium, they could play at UMD. It's more than big enough for the current Commanders fanbase. :)

National Harbor wouldn't be a bad location for the stadium, provided they could get MGM to own it.

Good point, and when the Terps start playing they can move to a high school field for the rest of the season.

Well, there was no money for a stadium, so Snyder thought he'd get a better offer.

The train from Richmond to DC arrived 4 hours and 55 minutes late yesterday.

Would the Ravens help fund it? Woodbridge basically cedes MoCo and NW DC to the Ravens

It certainly does for attendees. I've never been to a Ravens game, but I understand the game day experience is way, way better the 'skins/WFT/Commanders. I'm not driving to Woodbridge for a game - but I've only driven to FedEx a couple of times. And not at all in the last 15 years.

On the other hand they will get lots more fans from Fredericksburg and even the Richmond area.  Maybe they realize they have lost Maryland.

Hopefully they are smart enough to look at the season ticket holder stats and trends.

I looked up attendance just for kicks. The Ravens attendance is pretty strong at around 70K to Washington's 52K. 9th in the NFL to Washington's 31st. Only Detroit is worse. Baltimore is packing them in considering it's a pretty small city with two other teams very close by (Philly and Washington).

The bumper sticker line has moved steadily south since 2000.  And purple Poe is probably an easier sale to most non-native NW DC residents anyways.

I've only been to college football games at FedEx Field and M&T Bank Stadium, and the fan experience from top to bottom is far better at the latter. Even the tailgating is better. At M&T, the surrounding elevated highways shield you from the elements slightly, whereas at FedEx, it's like you're on a vast, frozen windswept plain. Concessions, getting in/out of the stadium and the neighborhood, etc., everything's better at M&T.

you really do have to give Baltimore and Maryland credit for OPACY and M&T.  Maybe it's not a good use of public cash, but if you are going to have stadiums, those are good parks.

At a minimum, it was a good way to disguise the fact that industry was collapsing in the city to the point that CSX no longer needed a switching yard or much other infrastructure there. :(

Agreed. Camden Yards is one of the finest all around ballparks in the country.

If you don’t mind seats facing CF instead of home plate.

I’ve enjoyed sitting behind home plate and the right field bleachers but down the lines was just totally uncomfortable having to tilt your head to see the pitcher and catcher and batter.

Still not happy they bulldozed Hammerjacks, but at least it's back.
