Wentz out for 6 weeks with a fractured finger. If Heinicke comes in and the offense starts moving the ball better, that trade looks worse and worse. Or we will see the problem is the OL. He isn’t the long term answer but darn Wentz hasn’t been the guy.
anyone catch Rivera's tirade Friday about the ESPN report that he did not want the Wentz trade and Snyder forced it on him? Quite salty language in denouncing it, saying he was the one who looked at the analytics and made the call to do it.
I thought profootball focus hated wentz
“Everybody keeps wanting to say I didn’t want anything to do with Carson, well bullcrap,” Rivera added. “I’m the freaking guy that pulled out the sheets of paper, looked at the analytics, that watched the tape when we were at Indianapolis. And that’s what pisses me off because the young man doesn’t deserve to have that all the time. I’m sorry, I’m done.”
Wentz broke his ring finger on his throwing hand. Heading to see a specialist to determine next steps.
Wentz out 4-6 weeks
Wemtz: I can be back faster than that coach.Rivera: No take your time Carson; we need you fully healthy (invisible eye roll).
“I don’t care about doubters. I don’t care what they have to say,” Heinicke said, via Ethan Cadeaux of NBCSportsWashington.com. “I care about the people who believe in me, and I want to prove them right. That means more to me than anyone else that has something negative to say. . . . I want to prove the people that believe in me right more than the doubters wrong. I could care less about those people.”

Well, if the Leonsis deal to buy the Nationals falls through....
The Washington Commanders announced Wednesday that owners Daniel and Tanya Snyder have retained BoA Securities, a division of Bank of America, to consider “potential transactions” for the team.“The Snyders remain committed to the team, all of its employees and its countless fans to putting the best product on the field and continuing the work to set the gold standard for workplaces in the NFL,” the statement read. The team did not specify whether such “potential transactions” include the sale of part or all of the team Daniel Snyder purchased in 1999.“We are exploring all options,” a Commanders spokesperson said.
the statement from the team says they have hired BofA Securities to 'consider potential transactions', not specifically to sell the team. The WP reports:
Would Bezos buy the team? Musk is still trying to recoup his "overpay". Are there any families in the area besides the Mars with the 7 B it would take?
