Youre hoping Lester gives you a sub 5 ERA.

Neither Schwarber nor Bell should be considered "big" bats
well, they are big.  But I'm very comfortable with Bell and Rz at 1st.  I'm jury's out on Schwarber.

Giving up before the end of game 5 of 162...

(Image removed from quote.)

I blame the odd starting times of the games so far.  Normal start times = Me Grilling Steak = Wins.

Bigger than Hernan Perez anyway.

A high school hitter is a bigger bat that Perez. Rizzo built a roster based on his big bad additions being reclamation projects who need to hit better then career norms. A dumb and idiotic way to build a team.

Which would be fine if Corbin didnt look terrible in the playoffs and abymsal last season
well, what kind of choice does he really have?  He has to get him right given the way this team is set up.  He's playing the guys on his roster the way the roster is.

Davey at this point is approaching this like a spring training game for Corbin.  After the game, he's going to say something like, "Well, except for that tough inning, which he almost got out of, he settled down and looked good. I pushed him a little bit and he tired against Seager and Turner, but their good hitters."
*they’re ;)

Nats could have a lineup of Turner, Rendon, Soto, and Harper.

Instead, we’re forced to watch this dreck.

So spend almost $600 million between Harper and Rendon

Why Harper? We’ve moved on from him. Remember?

How long are people going to cling to that? The Nats sacrificed a chance to win multiple championships for one ring.

I will always miss Harper on this team, I know it’s a bad take but it’s true :(

we had money for one of them, and the right choice clearly would have been Rendon.
