I can't really bother to give a crap about Martinez coming back.
On the one hand, I get the feeling he's probably another Acta and this is going to be a disaster.
But ultimately, does it really matter? We already pissed away the really major window year. We have one more coming up, a lesser window year, if you will. As important as that sounds, it's not like the front office has shown any aptitude for picking out managers. Either they go with old guys with a penchant for choking (Rusty, Davey) or inexperienced dimwits who end up finding themselves in way over their heads (Standard Decision, Joe Camel).
If the Nats change managers now, they're not getting the next Alex Cora or A.J. Hinch, so what's the difference? Might as well hope for some offseason alchemy - maybe Martinez will wake up and magically figure it out.
