Go to nationals.com/2019 and then pick either full or half membership.  You will be able to select seats from there.  If it doesn't let you select specific seats use a different browser (Explorer works for me, Chrome doesn't).

Thanks.

So I got an unexpected little package from the Nats today. I opened it and it had this tin inside.

Curious, because it's not the time of year for little SPH gifts and I don't remember them owing me any swag.  What could it possibly be?
So I opened it, and lo and behold what is inside:

A nice little letter!  It's like 4 pages long. What could it say?

Womp womp.

So I'm starting to put together my groups for next year. I've had a couple of people jump ship, maybe because of the team performance but probably for personal reasons. (I don't ask.) How are you guys doing out there with your groups?

Nothing and time is running out since I won't renew on my own.  I wonder if the Nats will restore their relationship with splitseasontickets.  I don't think it was a conscience it stopped when their ASG backed membership drive for 2018 was in a full court press

Changed the title to remove the 2018 playoff invoices.

I sent them email telling the Nats that I opt out. Along with a note requesting the Nats reply to confirm they received it and that yes I am opting out.

They refuse to do this. Instead they keep telling me I don't understand what I signed last season.

I'm curious to hear how your opt out email goes over.

Hello.  I sent an email earlier this week opting out; although I did not ask for a confirmation.  But, I think (?) it was processed, as I no longer see anything under "scheduled payments" in my nationals ticket account -- and I am 99 percent confident, that I previously saw the payments scheduled beginning September 1st.  I now also see a new option under Pending Renewals/Payments, in the post season section to renew my full plan. Previously, only the post season tickets were listed.    I do plan to try to confirm by calling in the next week or so; just going to wait it out a a bit.  Hope you have straightened out your situation.

I thought I had straightened it out last week. When I ended up going with the "do I need to get a lawyer involved" trope. They did immediately write back that I was opted out. But my scheduled payments are still pending... so I guess I get to deal with them again ugh.

Thanks for replying. Can I ask who specifically you emailed? I've been trying to work with Grace.

Zuckerman just Tweeted that the 2019 schedule is out. So far I just see April.

Well that sucks...the Cincinnati away series is the weekend before we leave for Hawaii...not sure that bodes well for that road trip...

https://www.mlb.com/nationals/schedule/2019-03 - click the tiny arrow to the right of the month to advance the months.

Meanwhile...back in TBSITH for another year, no price increase (signed for two years last year).

Also, regarding the Nats possibly going to a smartphone-based ticket distribution system (since the Capitals and Wizards already have for their single tickets) - I checked with my ticket rep and he said the club is considering putting in smartphone-based delivery as the principal means of distribution (in response to many STH having problems with the current Nats Plus cards) but the club will not go to smartphone-based distribution exclusively, since not everyone has a smartphone.

I'm not going to merge this and Bluestreak's schedule thread, but let's keep this thread focused on SPH renewals and issues and use Bluestreak's thread to talk about the schedule, road trips, etc...

I sent an on Aug 23rd stating I was opting out and do not want to renew.  Asked for a response back acknowledging my email.  Silence.  Scheduled payment show in my account starting Sep 1.  Emailed again today (Aug 29), still silence and still shows scheduled payments starting Sep 1.

I eventually got my rep to reply. They finally turned off the scheduled payments this week.  But the option to renew like normal still hasn't been added back to my ToDo list page.

I also started contacting them through the Access Contact Us option. I got a reply based on that too, though it was from my rep. I know it was based on the Contact Us message because that was the only place I mentioned the scheduled payment was going to fail because my CC expires this month and I didn't replace it, and my rep mentioned that.

She was very snotty about the whole thing.

I know they have a thankless job. But it's not my fault the Nats didn't make the playoffs this year so I want time to think about renewing since they won"t have my playoff strip money to use to keep me on the hook  to not lose the leftover playoff $$ that they say they don"t have to refund.

I expect they will have a lot of folks making the same calculus as you. Having thousands of dollars tied up is a big incentive to renew. I’m not sad the Nats lost that leverage.

We will know a lot by Sept. 7, won't we? Although I'm renewing all 3 of my full season plans, I doubt I will put down money on the postseason strips.

well, since you get credit for unplayed games, it really is almost a cash flow / timing thing on when do you want you first few payments towards 2019 to accrue.  That, and insurance against a Colorado Rockies 2007 finish.  for me, the payment would ensure I get a bump up in frequent flyer status and I'm sitting on the cash.

goodness, I'm sounding like MDS talking money, except he'd be talking about Maserattis and jello shots off dancers at his local club

Yeah, but if you don’t want to renew or are considering not renewing, it’s a big deal.

2 year contract so I'm stuck, but yes, you are right.  BiL is renewing because he is a better fan than the rest of us, as he puts it

That's an unfair characterization, he doesn't consider himself to be a better fan, he's a superior person.
