There's some low-hanging fruit about boys and dikes that I'll leave alone

USWNT would beat the men and look better doing it.

One thing about this WC...even teams like Spain and Italy have zero flopping and diving, despite some legitimately rough play.  How refreshing!

Edit: 12-0 and counting versus Thailand.  Avert your eyes.

my impression was that the gross mismatches in women's soccer are getting fewer.  I'm surprised Thailand could not recruit enough US college kids with Thai heritage to field a representative team.

Thailand is pretty mad about footie.  It (obviously) hasn't yet translated to much success on the field, but there are probably more Premier League jerseys per square km in Thailand than anywhere else on earth.

At some point it became non enjoyable watching Alex Morgan crap on their defense like she had eaten some bad Tom Yung Goong.

Women’s team scored more World Cup goals today than the men’s team has scored in 17 years.

Please, please, please tell me you are joking.  The mens team would beat the women worse than 13-0.

Seriously doubt this. USWNT played the male under 17 team a few years ago and go thoroughly smacked.

USA vs. Guyana in the Gold Cup. 10pm on FS1. If they can’t spank these guys they are in deep trouble.

Nice to see Kate Abdo in the studio.

A 15U boys team also beat them last year, 5-2.

Despite me being alternately delighted and frustrated with Rooney's performances for England over the years he is probably the second most gifted English footballer I have seen play live.

Enjoy it.

Sorry, just realised that was absolute post bait.

Paul Gascoigne was the best English player I ever saw.

Gazza came and trained with DC United when Ray Hudson was coach.  As I recall he went to China instead...I think he was at about 5 bottles of whiskey a day at that point.

His goal against Scotland in the Euros (and the ensuing celebration) was astounding

Gazza playing drunk and Cruyff smoking before, during, and after games makes me think that most athletes these days are wusses  :P
