WUSA9's weather map has a lot of red and orange in it over DC.

Driving home, 495 outer loop, from around New Hampshire to University which took me at least 30 minutes, it was the worst flooding I think I've ever seen.  If it was like that near the stadium, they ain't playing.

Of course, we won't know this until 3:30 when they call it.

The good news is they got to finish the final round of the BMW golf tourney in Philly today.     Hope the weather holds.

Columnist in Chicago suggested they find a different venue for the game vs. the Cubs.

He did come up with a way to help us get to .500...

"If MLB doesn’t come up with a better solution than playing on Thursday in Washington, maybe the Cubs should just forfeit the game to make a point."

He’s not wrong. They should move it to October 1.

Move it to after the season if it's needed.

I doubt it will have implications for either team.

That's actually the best option. If it's not needed, dont play

Kansas City, Detroit, Cleveland would be options, besides Chicago or Wrigley. I think the Oct. 1 option is the best one, personally.

also, 1 PM probably would be doable in DC.  4 PM gets more dicey with needing to fly out that night around 10 PM.

During a potential hurricane? They may not get to Atlanta if they come back to DC.

If they aren’t going to schedule it for Oct 1. They should play the game in Tampa. The Nats have to go to ATL next and there is no way they should play in Milwaukee, which is a home game for the Cubs even when they are playing the Brewers. It’s not a Cubs home game. They shouldn’t be put at an advantage with a change of venue.

Hmmmmm.     Missus is headin' to Seattle on the 29th.     Might have to call my brother-in-law about golf and a ballgame in W. PA.

I think they will need to postpone the game on Thursday and play it Oct 1. And I think it is increasingly likely that it will have postseason implications. I would love for the Nats to play spoiler.

I hear you but I hate that we’re back to being in the spoiler role rather than the contender role.

Will the game on Sunday get played? Or will they just say screw it?
