Why are the May 5th game vs the Phillies and the August 18th game vs. the Marlins Blacked Out?

May 5 is Star Wars Day. I think it’s always blacked out.

Not sure about that August date though.

wow.  In by 5:30 for a 7 PM game or no points unless you use the app.  Not much good to use the cards anymore.

Thanks.  For some reason I still can't find that page using the posted links on nationals.com.  I thought there would be a link to the RCR page on the Season Plans page (https://www.mlb.com/nationals/tickets/season-tickets/become-a-member), but I don't see it.  Am I just missing it, or is there a chance this info isn't official yet?

Given how much I drink, it’s certainly not worth it for me to get to the park 90 minutes early.

There is no way to share the ticket via the app and still get the points, right? I go to every single game with my husband and it’s a huge hassle to pass the phone back and forth, but you don’t get points on the tickets you email to others, so I’m assuming you don’t get points for app shares either.

No mention of suite rentals in that page either.

Went to the SPH rookie event today and found the Rep that clearly was the most knowledgeable and asked him about this.  He said PNC and suites will be available with RCR points.  They are going to be changing the way they are obtained and it'll be different than the 'regular' tickets because it was a fiasco in the past.  He didn't really elaborate on how it will be implemented though.

My rep told me that suites will be posted on the Marketplace and Diamond Club seats will be posted on the Live Auction.  The intention is to make the redemption process more transparent and fair.

I welcome any change, because for all practical purposes, these things were not available at all. Always "sold out" the second they became available. I guess I need to install gigabit internet just to get the best seats, of they were actually offered at all.

I got the above E-mail about 45min ago too.

I have never used Red Carpet Rewards myself, but from reading through this thread the programme appears strongly redolent of a number of airline loyalty schemes I could name. (In fact it has essentially the same name as that of United's member airport lounges.)

By the way, OC, even if you have an 81 game package for TBSINTH, you can still use the RCRs for merchandise.  You might want a cap, or a Peet's gift card, a souvenir bat, or other merchandise.  You ought to check this out.

Otherwise you are leaving money (or the equivalent) on the table.

2 years ago I used my RCR points for the Batting Practice View from the Field thing, which was super awesome fun times and definitely worth dragging my "real" camera around. Last year I got a suite; I did have to pay for catering but I got to throw one heck of an anniversary party (and they let me take home the extra beer since they put it on your bill before they bring it to the suite :woop:)

I usually use my extra points for extra tickets that I give away and at times use myself even though I have a boatload of tix. Sometimes I cash in points for merchandise but now the Nats are seling the  $100 voucher for merchandise I go that route instead.

Access portal is going live currently. My account seems quite hosed (no points loaded yet, no My Games button and it wanted to upcharge me for doing an exchange within the same section) and my rep is out of the office but one of her co-workers is working on it, so fingers crossed for a speedy resolution.

Merchandise loaded so far: Murphy/Stras/Harper adult-size replica jerseys for 8000 points.

Lots and lots of auctions for Diamond Club seats in sets of 1 through 4 tickets with starting bids around 3000 points per ticket.

Zero points for me too.  You all paid up or are you on the payment plan?

Are exchanges working for anyone?  I keep getting a "install Flash" message on the seating chart when click the game I want to exchange into, but I know I have Flash.  Very frustrating.

It seems like they priced all the items just out of reach of my initial allotment. I’m sure this was not accidental.
