Uhhh, someone might want to tell him there's already a famous "Brett" in Green Bay history.  Awkward...

In other news, tonight is a complete suckfest.  In the words of Scott Keith, "who the hell booked this crap?"  Who would want to see these two teams in primetime?

I mean it was supposed to be Luck v. Mariota, supposedly two of the best young quarterbacks so in theory I could see why it was scheduled. Plus I mean, the Pats can't be in EVERY prime time game :mg:

Going into the 1978 season the then-Baltimore Colts were coming off a third consecutive AFC East title and sported one of the league's premier QB's in Bert Jones...so the Colts were booked for three Monday Night Football fixtures (this was back when MNF was the only prime-time exposure the NFL had, so those berths were pretty prestigious in those days).

Then Jones suffered a season-ending injury early on and the Colts reeled to a 5-11 record - but those MNF matches were still played as-is (one of them at home against the Redskins, with the Rosenthal car dealerships buying up the remaining tickets so the match wouldn't be blacked out in DC).

In the NFL, nothing is guaranteed.

Yeah, but they knew it was a possibility that Luck would be out at this point.  The Colts without Luck are about as exciting as a Belichick press conference.  :mg:

 I think Brissett is actually pretty fun to watch, if their defense wasn't garbage he could've won that game.

Romo is growing in me, "he's not gonna get it off...SNAP IT!" haha he's a total frustrated quarterback at times and it's fun to listen to

Atlanta :lmao:

That franchise, now in its 52nd NFL season, has had real problems stringing winning seasons together. Except for a five-season stretch from 2008-12, they have never posted consecutive winning (better-than-.500) records.

The hit on Flacc . . . looked really bad from the close-in replay, but from the wider overhead view it looked like the tackler had already started to go in for a low hit when Flacc . . . started his slide.  My initial thought was this guy should be kicked off the field and suspended for 8 games, but the wider, longer view seemed to be less obvious.  I missed the commentary.  What were they saying at half-time when they showed the view?

By the way, when you type in "Flacc", do the autofill things on smart phones still finish it with an "id" rather than an "o"?  Before he took them to the Superbowl, that used to appear, but then for a while it went to "o" as his name was typed more often.

Kiko Alonso.  Now he has some highlight to add to his career in addition to being traded for LeSean McCoy by that genius Chip Kelly.

I agree he had started but if it's a QB you have to know he can slide and looked to me had time to let up and did not let up at all.  Make him stand for the national anthem as punishment.

stand on his head, as an extra sign of respect.  I'm just glad he goes by Kiko. When I look at the Dodgers line up, I do a double take at Enrique Hernandez's introduction to check for a proper accent over his nickname.

Sending the Browns across the pond to play a "football game" is either the result of huffing paint or the best long revenge plot in world history.  "This is for torching D.C.!  Take this!  Long live the Capitol!"

bears TE Zach Miller suffered a dislocated knee cap that severed an artery. He underwent emergency surgery to save his leg.  His career is likely over.

Horrible injury.  At least he's had a decently long career, if this is indeed the end.

And this is why we're taught anything involving the knee is serious and is load and go.

Kinda weird, didn't everyone think Kyle was pining for Kirk and would scoop him up in the offseason?
