Puerto Rico is already on the verge of default, there's no way they will be able to rebuild absent federal support- hopefully they get it

#Trump2016

I wonder if Ted Cruz will hold up funding for it?    :stir:

Looks like it's shifting east. Wxrisk predicted that 3 days ago. Good news for western Florida. Not so good news for GA/SC.

I'm trying to find some news covering what's happening with this hurricane and all I can find is political talk about DACA. :hang:

Harvey in the House:

"The measure providing $7.4 billion for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and $450 million for a disaster loan program for small businesses passed 419-3 with 12 representatives not voting. Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), Justin Amash (R-Mich.) and Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) voted no."

My folks used to live aboard a 36 foot trawler at the 5th street marina in South Beach.  Glad that chapter closed a few years ago.

My uncle, my cousin, and her husband live down in Miami Beach; while my cousin is away, her sister is helping with my uncle.  They have to evacuate, but they don't know whether to go to Palm Beach on the east coast or Naples on the west.  Uncle probably can't travel much because he's had 2 strokes this summer.

West side of storm is always best.  Last I'd heard they expected it to take a sharper turn to the east and maybe just graze the east coast of Florida, I guess that's changes??

Just two. Irma and Katie.
Jose isn't allowed in the country any more.

:hysterical:

katie is Mexico's Henry, slow moving and will dump a ton of rain over Veracruz over 3-4 days.

Bad timing with Harvey vaccuming up all of America's generosity. The islands that are European territories will get rebuilt, but the independent ones better hope people still have money to donate
