Why are we not pinch hittting for Max?

Because Rizzo stuck us with a short bench.

Right now, Scherzer is the worst starter in the rotation, by far.

He probably won't. But he's probably as good a hitter as most of the guys on the bench at this point.

It's a mistake to have Max hitting here. He should not throw any more pitches. Bad move Matt. Again.

Can't disagree.  Needs a DL stint

I don't get leaving Max in.  Nothing to do with the rest of the game tonight.  Hopefully he's not hurt, but his body is definitely showing signs of fatigue.  Pull him out now, give him some extra days off, and see if he can come back strong.

serious question. If they get swept in SF does Matt get canned on the off day on Monday before Colorado series?

I'm hoping it's sooner than that. But I still don't see Rizzo manning up and firing him.

He should have allowed JZ to stay in the other night to hit.

Nah, Rizzo and he are thick as thieves. They'll buttfreak this franchise into oblivion together, gosh darnit.

Good thing we left him out there.

Im going to say "no" only because Rizzo doesn't want to admit his mistake.  The only way he gets canned is if old man Lerner tells him to. That could lead to Rizzo quoting.
