Does one retire the glass afterwards? That looks like it's probably worth about as much as the contents of Werth's garage.

 :hysterical:

Not expensive at all. Just tasty.

This should have been taken out of the hands of the Phillies, even though it's the rule that the home team decides before the start of the game because they had absolutely no incentive for making a smart decision about starting this game.  When you're the worst team in baseball, burning through a starter for two innings or not doesn't really matter.  The outcome of any individual game doesn't matter for them because it's likely going to be a loss.

Right now, the Nats have extra starting pitchers, having found Ross and re-discovered Roark. Not enough field players. Maybe an extra day helps Harper? Maybe treatment helps Span? Any mention of Ryan Zimmerman lately?

I have a neighbor who's brother was the lead designer on the Crown Royal tops.

That's awesome.

I just blew some smoke up them about how good they are and mentioned that Dom Brown brought to mind the great 6/23/07 Nook call and sent them the link.  :punch:

nah, I've just been watching too many cycling training videos about how steady, every night, gets your endurance up, rather than binging and off days.

#Nats will have to call somebody up to start one of the games, though, because Gio Gonzalez was burned up with 1 inning today.

Sons of nages!  The Phillies should suffer some sort of penalty for this.

Hopefully no one gets injured on their way back to the hotel.  Team should play in bubble wrap.  Is there a rule against that?

Absolutely.  That was dirty pool, which I suppose is another term for the Schuylkill.

Ross not available because he pitched 2 days ago.  Cole would be on 3 day rest.  Looks like Taylor Hill.

Asked how frustrating today was, Williams said "extremely." "Burned our pitcher. I'm not very happy about it."

Frustrated Gio Gonzalez: "Big rain. This rain kind of caught us all off guard. We didn't know it was coming for like three days so..."
