Incoming Strasburg implosion?
And that's when the doubleheader should have been. One of those days. Let me make it clear, the Tigers-White Sox game is part of a doubleheader in September, not an open day between the teams. We have to play in Phil in Sept. We need to know why the Tigers-White Sox can schedule their DH for September but the Nationals are stuck playing theirs today, with all of these injuries.
Who's to say the Nats won't be more hampered by having to play an extra game in the middle of a long stretch in September? Get it out of the way now. With an off day tomorrow, be done with it and move on.
The roster will be 40 in September as opposed to 25 now and I'm betting Philadelphia will be worse.
Every game the Nationals can push in to mid August or later is a good one. Because that's when this team will be at its most healthy.
Game
It really doesn't matter, especially against the Phillies.
That wasn't even a bad pitch
Yeah wind's really pushin' it out there.
Orly? The Nats are starting one healthy big leaguer, one with a bad back, and one who has a gimpy leg. Everyone else is basically a replacement level players. So yea, I think it matters.
Is it me, or does Strasburg's curve ball have a bit more tilt to it and more velocity? For some reason I remember him being way more 12-6 and in the upper 70s/low 80s
