Incoming Strasburg implosion?

I was going to say not just because of a base hit but now thanks to Ramos, who knows :smh:

And that's when the doubleheader should have been.  One of those days.  Let me make it clear, the Tigers-White Sox game is part of a doubleheader in September, not an open day between the teams.  We have to play in Phil in Sept.  We need to know why the Tigers-White Sox can schedule their DH for September but the Nationals are stuck playing theirs today, with all of these injuries.
Who's to say the Nats won't be more hampered by having to play an extra game in the middle of a long stretch in September? Get it out of the way now. With an off day tomorrow, be done with it and move on.

Nice work by Stras. I forgot to pay attention--did he shave again?

The roster will be 40 in September as opposed to 25 now and I'm betting Philadelphia will be worse.

Every game the Nationals can push in to mid August or later is a good one. Because that's when this team will be at its most healthy.

They're terrible now. I get why the team might be frustrated with yesterday, but I'm ok getting it over and done with now.

It really doesn't matter, especially against the Phillies.

Orly? The Nats are starting one healthy big leaguer, one with a bad back, and one who has a gimpy leg. Everyone else is basically a replacement level players. So yea, I think it matters.

Is it me, or does Strasburg's curve ball have a bit more tilt to it and more velocity? For some reason I remember him being way more 12-6 and in the upper 70s/low 80s

Well that and Frenchy just guessed right, he was fastball down and in all the way and that ball had some serious run on it and just ran into his bat.  If he's betting over the plate or away that's either a foul or a swing and miss.

Chances are they split it regardless of when they play it. They're actually playing well right now despite all that. Get it over and done.

He always threw more of a slurve or 1-7 curve, today he's throwing more of a power curve like Harvey throws.  He often switched between the two last year and his better games were when he would throw the one with more tilt but around 78-79.  Today he's throwing that with 83-84 so I'm interested to see if he continues to leave it over the plate

No, FP, the best way to deal with a hamstring strain is to not run at all on it.
