Anyone watch Galavant?

I had originally planned to until I saw it was a musical comedy.  I watched other things and figure I'll watch it on demand so I can quickly go on to something else if I don't like it and won't have missed the first 10-15 minutes of a show I actually wanted to watch. I will let you know if I do end up watching.

man, i missed this.  I'll have to find a replay at some point or see if it's on FiOS on demand.

Metropolis on the Travel Channel covering the histories of NYC and San Francisco was very well done.  I didn't know that Broadway Ave. in Manhattan traces its roots to its use as a trail for native americans living in north western manhattan to travel down to the oyster fields on Ellis Island.

I did - I thought it was hysterical and loved it.  Very Monty Python Spamalot-ish to me.

Depending on how old your kids are, you may want to watch Galavant first before turning them loose to watch it - it got a bit ribald at times.

It's local affiliate is channel 7.  On digital antenna I think it's ch. 7.2.  Comcast has it on ch. 204.  Plays old TV series.

The king and the henchman had good moments, not as impressed by the title character, however.

don't bother getting attached, it's insanely expensive ($90 million) and unless it gets great numbers (critics hate it, but who knows what the actual views look like) it's not coming back

At 9 PM ET tonight, Friday January 9, 2015, and repeated at midnight, CNN will show an encore presentation of the critically acclaimed documentary, Life Itself (2014), based on the autobiography of Roger Ebert, the late Chicago and TV film critic. It premiered at #1 in total cable news viewers on January 4th.

CNN is a producer of the film, so it's likely to continue to show it in the future.

Imitation of Game of Thrones, so naked girls stabbing people. Which is cool, but don't expect GoT's depth, interesting characters, or artistry.

For anyone who missed "The Sons of Liberty," the History Channel's 3-part, 6-hour mini-series that aired Sunday through Tuesday, it will be repeated in its entirety this Friday, from 6 pm to midnight.

They take a few liberties with language and a romantic subplot, but much of it is historically accurate, and brings history to life. Yes, that's Henry Thomas, the kid from ET: The Extraterrestrial, playing John Adams.
