For anyone who missed "The Sons of Liberty," the History Channel's 3-part, 6-hour mini-series that aired Sunday through Tuesday, it will be repeated in its entirety this Friday, from 6 pm to midnight. (Image removed from quote.)They take a few liberties with language and a romantic subplot, but much of it is historically accurate, and brings history to life. Yes, that's Henry Thomas, the kid from ET: The Extraterrestrial, playing John Adams.
I watched bits and pieces of it; good acting. sure they will be showing reruns. from what I have read they took lots of liberties and especially with the brutality of the Brits. Ben Franklin was the man!
I too watched parts of it. I couldn't get hooked though. Like you, the show made the British look particularly brutal. I must have missed school that day.
school white washes that period (actually the colonists were pretty brutal especially to customs officers, but also to loyalists). Once the war started, the British could be pretty Brutal- Ferguson in the carolinas wasn't exactly a model of chivalry
The Larry Wilmore episode about Bill Cosby was pretty entertaining. Pretty low-key alternative to some of the other nightly shows; will be interested to see how it develops.
Anyone been watching Manhattan? It's a TV Series about the Manhattan Project
"The Americans" just aired its first season 3 episode last Weds night, and E2 will be airing tonight. Fantastic show.
No Screech...he sharing a cell with JW?
Better Call Saul!Mike! And we found out what happened to Saul after Breaking Bad!
dude that pilot was so damn good
Heck yeah it was. A lot less humor than I was expecting... but I imagine they'll probably start to fold that in as the series gains steam.
Episode 2 of Better Call Saul was better than the first one.
