It was poor defense by Butler? and then Nene was slow to switch; he needed to do that to at least prevent a layup.  Nene looks beat; the new twins must be keeping him up.

Buck and Phil mentioned that Nene's feet are giving him problems.    You're right.    Butler was used and abused.

Another winnable match thrown away by the Wizards...beaten in the late going by a hungrier opponent (who were missing a key player and trying to kick a 6-match losing streak to stay in the playoff hunt). When will the Wizards (and DC-area teams generally) learn about kicking it up a notch in late season and playoffs?

A win last night would have clinched a .500 record for the Wizards (who were in 5th seed going into last night's action).

...and here comes Charlotte, another borderline playoff team (and now with Wizards killer Kemba Walker back), on Friday....

If anybody gave half a crap as much as wall last night, the wizards win. What a waste of an effort. I'm still holding out hope that playing pierce more than 23 minutes will get us over some humps

I read an article and it was Martell Webster guarding on the last play. Randy was saving john Wall and his 5 fouls for the OT that they never got to.

The good news is that they are raising the ticket prices again next year.

I know (some 40% up section 418 where I'm at!) - unless I can get off some of these drowsy/dizzy meds I'm dropping my season ticket (I've been to all of three Wizards matches this season).

I used to be up in 417. Was 15 or 16 per ticket at that time. Last few years have been in a group in section 120. Out of ten game I have only made two this year. Not worth keeping given my travel schedule, etc so I will be out for next year. I have a hard time watching the games on TV. I get frustrated and turn off.

As with other sports I like the Wizards radio coverage - especially colour analyst Glenn Consor who really tells it like it is (if some Wizards player isn't performing he'll call him out).

I can't keep up with basketball on the radio- I love football and baseball on the radio, but basketball just doesn't seem to translate to radio for me

Randy Wittman makes Matt Williams look like a genius. Worst tactical coach this city has seen in basically ever.

My bad.   I was thinking Butler (I'm old).     Webster didn't cover and Nene didn't switch and Wittman lost his mind.

I vote "no":

Maybe they can get Kevin Love in 2016. He seems not too happy in Cleveland. In retrospect they should have traded the draft choice when they selected Beal for James Harden which they supposedly had a chance to do.
Think Ernie and Randy will be back?

Listening to the radio the other night and the commentator mentioned that Kevin Love hasn't been happy anywhere.     After that meltdown the other night, I think Witt's on a very short leash.    I don't know how Ernie was back 3 or 4 years ago.    From that time on it has been one of the mysteries of the universe.

Sorry but I don't like the Rockets.  Don't like Harden.  Don;t like Howard, etc.  Anyone else from the West will do.  I don't see anyone beating Golden State at this point.  Maybe SA can get it together for one more run but kind of doubt that.

Last time I pulled for any team in Houston was when the Big E was a Cougar.

I have a DVD of the Houston-UCLA game in the dome; it's pretty cool.  Was in a college basketball book I found at the discount store.  They edit out most of the commercials but you still see the tail end of them; funny to see.  I do not recall seeing the game live.

Remember what a bit deal it was  ...  Lew and E, UCLA v Houston, in the relatively new Astrodome  ....  I ain't bettin' the rent check but I think I watched the game on TV.      The Bullets in the '70s had two of my favorite college players from the late '60s   ...   Wes and E.   I was a fan of Earl Monroe at WS State but when he went to NY  ...  not so much.
