It's that time.

Watched a bit of the Chicago game and will probably stop in for the NO game tonight (radio).    Wiz won't back down.

Looks like the Wiz may be without 4 of their guys for a game.    Damn leaving the bench during a dust up in Chicago.

They seem to have finally sorted out the issue of Wizards/Capitals conflicts as far as radio coverage - from here on in all Wizards radio broadcasts* are on FM-99.1, while the Caps will be full-timing it on FM-106.7.

*try one sometime if you haven't yet - Glenn Consor is one of the best colour analysts I've ever heard.

I know it's early in the thread for this criticism but Dave Johnson and Consor are hard for me to listen to.       I avoid anything Johnson does like the plague (unless there is no other option).    Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Johnson can admittedly be an acquired taste for many, but Consor tells it like it is to an extent rarely found in the media hereabouts - I remember a match at Philadelphia a couple of seasons ago in which the Wizards played sloppily and seemed like they were goofing off at times, and Consor really lit into them.

Consor does indeed.    However, I'd rather go to a game and sit next to him than listen to him on the radio.    :)

Bradley Beal DONE:

That really sucks, but I think Glen Rice Jr. will step up and whoop ass this season.

Wizards’ Bradley Beal could miss six to eight weeks with broken left wrist (updated)

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wizards-insider/wp/2014/10/11/wizards-bradley-beal-expected-to-miss-time-with-wrist-injury/?tid=trending_strip_2

Well that is not DONE. Miss a month of reg season. I guess we got depth to test out. At least it isn't shooting hand. A month less of mileage on his legs for playoffs

Pierce just had an ugly knee-on-knee collision with another player. You could see his knee bend backwards.

freak the world.

So, does Otto Porter look ready to play a bigger role?

In albeit limited time last season for Porter, and limited time for me seeing him so far this season, he looks much better. His shot isn't as streaky and he's starting to look more like an all-around guy like Ariza was. Probably won't be pretty for some stretches but not as discouraged with the pick as I was last season.

Looks like he's going to get a good shot too with the pace we're picking up injuries and suspensions.

Forgot about the suspensions.     With that and Beal, it could be a long night depending on the old farts.
