Padres are hateful to us at home.
We have no excuses over the next week.  With LaRoche healthy and Zim back and missing Lee and Hamels, we have to clean up against the Phils and Padres.

I thought Iwakuma started in yesterday's game.  Apparently not.

The Mariners started some turd from AAA yesterday (Erasmo Ramirez) and the Braves still lost.

Iwakuma should be able to outduel Minor today. Let's hope.

Day game on a Wednesday?  Strange.  Now I need to figure out what channel TBS is.

It's on MLB Network.  And it's a two-game series between them though both are off tomorrow so it really isn't clear why this is a day game.

Braves look to be going on a road trip after this series(playing at Arizona and at Colorado)and it seems like teams always get a day off right before embarking on a road trip(well maybe not always but often enough).

Not really watching, but having the Barves being naged around on the TV in my home office has certainly given me a sunny disposition.

2-0 Mariners win and sweep the Braves in Atlanta.

Nats have a golden opportunity in front of them tonight and tomorrow. Can cut the division deficit to 1 game with a win today and tomorrow.

The first time this season that the Nationals have the highest playoff odds in the division.

Why would the Nats have a higher probability than the Braves?

Probably run differential and current streak (as predictors for future results).

Those dogs crap while they run.  Pole position is the only place to be.
