Every single AB if he does not get a hit or walk, he changes his bat the very next AB. He is now changing his stance from AB to AB, not even game to game. I saw him try three different stances in the game today in Cincinnati. Old stance (he had recently tweaked his stance, two variations), a cross between old and new, and then new stance. Socks up, socks down, also changes sometimes during the game. Then I see last AB he ditched his batting gloves.

Dude you are thinking way too much. You will never hit this way, it will never work. Just slow down and play the game. I don't get why someone who has had baseball at the center of their universe since childhood would ever think that this amount of changing things from inning to inning is going to help. Just play the game, dumb it down and quit thinking so damn much. Honestly his immaturity really shows in these ways.

Cal Ripken got 3000 hits like that. Dude never had the same stance. I guess Cal was immature too

I don't think Cal changed stances from one AB to another but I defer to the Cal worshippers on this board.

Yep. He needs to relax and just be Bryce Harper, because Bryce Harper is pretty damn good in his own right. You can't overthink in this game.

Not running from third on Espinosa's ground out in the 8th I think it was really hurt us last night.  But in a way I like to see him being overcautious as he tries to correctly calibrate his baserunning.

He had Henley right in his ear, gotta think that's the 3rd base coach's call.

He must be nearing 100 ABs.  Just in time for his next injury.

Huh, i would have assumed the player has to decide.  No time for an intermediary.

He's standing right there. Plenty of time for a coach to put the brakes on if he thinks it's best. That kind of communication happens on every play.

I don't blame Bryce for that. It was a shot. He waited to see if got through or if it was right toa fielder. Let's put it this way would you be more upset at him if he got thrown out at home? I would.

He's one of those posters that only show up when the team is struggling so they can brag about how right they were.

Where's his power? He's supposed to be a 35-40 HR a year threat at least.

Just be thankful he's hitting. He had surgery on his hand. Gotta imagine the power will take some time.

Oh he's hitting? Like that 'tear' he went on for three games earlier in the year. Since you point out that he's hitting - I will point out that he's hit .230 since returning from the injury a month ago June 30th. Also slugging under .350 which is putrid. He's hitting. Are you just posting drivel to bump your post count or trying to actually add something?

Back to the blackboard, slateman. There is much for you to learn about the game.

Harper not living up to the hype is affecting his BH.
