I get where you guys are coming from, but for me, I dont believe one guy has the power to effect the team that much or cost the team the division. Would we be a better team with Bryce in the lineup? Sure. Maybe. I'll even give you probably. But we can do it with or without him. He wasnt one of our top performers when he got hurt so I guess it just seems a little weird to me that so many people were posting about how much he sucked this year but now that he is gone we cannot go on without him. I'm sure the team misses him but I think Zimm's absence affected the team more than Harpers ever would or could. You can visibly see the difference having Zimm back has made already but I do not think Harpers return would have nearly that impact. If anything maybe its just a tiny bit of a relief being able to play without all of the drama, and press and "controversy" that constantly surrounds Bryce.
I
SPOY
LaRoche can't play anywhere else.
There's no debate - he would add wins to the team but they are a good team without him - at times better. The only point to be made is the "controversy" that constantly surrounds him is due to him missing time and being more of a celebrity during baseball season then you know ; a baseball player. That is what he is paid to do. Not visit the zoo in a pennant race in June. That is just a fact.
I have a sneaky suspicion that LaRoche could play third?
We had a left handed throwing SS on my college dorm softball team, but you don't often see a left handed throwing 3rd baseman in the majors.
If Harper is who we think he is, then he is a game changer. I mean a season changer. Oh, you get what I mean.
he's easing in.
If he plays like he did in April of last season, this team is gonna be tough to beat.
Doubtful. His brother is meh.
Maybe he can pitch too.
