Starting to think he has a serious attitude problem. It seems obvious he went to boras and naged about not being called up after like 10 good games.

I doubt it. Boras could have done that by himself just as easily.

Boras is the devil, everything bad can easily be attributed to him, thus is the narrative

best agent in the game would certainly potentially torpedo a player's relationship with their club and bring on negative publicity without running it by their client- makes sense

Espi now hitting .192 with 57 K's in about 155 AB's. About the same strikeout percentage he turned in last year with the Nats. Kobernus, Moore, and Perez are hitting about .300. Marrero is not bad. If I was choosing September call-ups today, Espi would not be one of them.

- Shoulder still holding him back and he refuses to get surgery?
- He's a plain bad hitter who somewhat made up for it by hitting a few homers, but can't hit for power even once in a long while?

I for one still believe this is his problem.

I don't see how he went from a legitimate hitter in bigs, to Mario Mendoza.

His average often bounced around .200. I remember a Boswell column in 2011 explaining that Espi's hitting would look much better real soon because his BAPIP was down, and Everyone Knows that BAPIP is always about .300. His homers always lifted his slugging % to something respectable..

His strikeout % has always been high. That's what I have looked at...comes from being an old curmudgeon!

Espinosa has to be one of the dumbest human beings on the planet.  Get the surgery clown!

Espinosa hitting about .215 with 75 K's. Kobernus, Perez, and Tyler Moore hitting over .300. Zach Walters has 27 homers, unless I mis-read the columns (tho batting about .255). Will Rhymes might not field like Espinosa, but compare the strikeouts to walks, and average.

Is it time to put Espinosa in the ex-prospects memorial thread?

He's hitting .260 in July and August. Remember, he started out slowly because he had to completely retool his swing. Since then, he's hit pretty close to his career averages.

He's in aaa,  he should be well above his mlb career averages before they even consider bringing him back

Espinosa has hit much better last 10 games. He should be brought back next season in Spring Training but sent down again if he doesn't perform well.

Last ten games haves Espi hitting .200 with no homers and 17 K's.  Not a September call-up. At this clip, he is a never call-up.

Why? Triple A is where he needs to be until he admits he has a problem and gets surgery/treatment

He would probably be one of the top 6 hitters on that team.
